Just so you know the database's large enough that I sort of have to take a subsample of it-- so instead of 1mil games we're looking at 10k or so, so these results are about right but will change every time I run it. I can get better averages later but I'm not that patient for now lol + Show Spoiler + Top ten champs by average TOTAL damage dealt: +---------------+-------------+ Top ten champs by average damage dealt to champions: +---------------+------------+ Top ten champs by average damage received: +---------------+------------+ Top ten combined (dmg dealt to champs + dmg taken): +---------------+------------+ Here's what I can do! + Show Spoiler + Average ward stats: +------------------+------------------+ Average ward stats for winning teams: +------------------+------------------+ Average ward stats for losing teams: +------------------+------------------+ Pretty interesting. What is the unit for the average ward numbers? Per team per game? Per champ per game? Crazy how few people use wards that aren't trinket wards. Are pinks included? Also, on the most TOTAL damage dealt, the three highest champs all have Statikk Shiv as their core, that item is putting out a lot of damage to champs/minions combined it would seem.

I think if GEE is applied to this dataset we can find out the the synergies and counters of a particular champion (provided there is enough data). It's possible but you couldn't get that deep. While individual champion interactions would be possible composition or interactions between champions would quickly eat up your degrees of freedom in even the largest data sets.

How many teams have not been able to field their starting rosters because of poor management? CLG with Dexter, TSM with Bjergsen, wasn't there something with Pobelter on EG also? Visas end when they end. If anything, the timing of Bjergsen renewing his is the sign of good management.

Actually, Bjergsen's case is an example of GOOD management. Apparently he has to go back to get his VISA renewed sooner or later, and TSM chose sooner so he wouldn't miss the play off. Also Meteos got on the plane. It took him an extra hour but he is going to Poland. Check his twitter.

TSM could choose to renew Bjergsens visa now, or right before playoffs. I'd say taking it in the middle of the season when you're in a good spot is way better than risking playoffs without the Bjerger king, dont you say?

Idk if the Bjergsen thing was poor management, if anything it was a good idea for them to be doing this now instead of later, since they've secured their seed in the playoffs. If you have a permanent job in the U.S. I thought renewing them was quite easy. I know this is probably not super-relevant, but I have a colleague from Columbia who has been in the U.S. for 4 years without ever having to return. Thing is, none of the foreign players in NA (exception of maybe EG - I don't know anything about them), have green cards. Important distinction because green cards allow you to work in a country for X years. Visas merely let you visit/stay in a country for a short period of time for a pre-determined reason. Once that time period and/or reason for your visit has been fulfilled, you have to gtfo the country or risk getting arrested and deported. IIRC, Bjergsen and the rest of the foreign players in NA have athletic visas, which allow them to stay in the US for the duration of the athletic event (LCS). My guess is that playoffs are considered a separate event as far as the government is concerned so you'll need an extension on your visa to stay for that. AFAIK, you can renew green cards within the US, but visas require you to go back home. Bjergsen's visa has NOT expired yet, but TSM chose to have Bjergsen leave for home now rather than wait until it expires and risk not having him for playoffs due to the nightmare that is government bureaucracy.
