Pretty much. If you don't have a mixed team of people possibly screwing up the SKT chemistry you might as well just give them their 50k and the extra spot at worlds. I don't see anyone touching them.

improving stats display to include dmg done at the very least is a pretty low hanging fruit. it too is obviously incomplete in describing performance, but right now in LCS level analysis we just get KDA and gpm basically.

OGN does contribution for kill which I like, and I've heard it mentioned on LCS casts from time to time.

Facetious statements about just giving the money to SKT aside, there's certainly value for teams benchmarking themselves against a top Korean team, not to mention across other regions.

IPL5 was 50kto 1st , 20k to 2nd, so it was actually more because I believe "all star" is winner take all.

I don't know what you thought I was trying to argue, I was just saying I find that statistic to be somewhat indicative of a well played game, as opposed to KDA

All stats and calculations have limitations, and it's up to a competent caster to contextualize and analyze them. A split pushing top laner with 400 CS and <20% kill participation but taking down 5 towers by himself is obviously still relevant, as a random example pulled from nowhere.
There are situations where KDA is better, and also situations where kill participation is more insightful. And of course situations where neither is at all relevant. Ideally we would have as many stats as possible, but that's obviously not practical for a stream platform. Dota 2's in-client observer mode (which is fantastic) allows viewers to choose what to see, but it's easy to see why no one wants to clutter a stream with numbers if that's the only way to watch a game.
The League of Legends teamfight UI is, however, unequivocally awful.
Personally, I'd like CS to be less prominent of a statistic, since from an analysis perspective, gold spent/on-hand is the only thing that matters, but it's obvious why that's not a realistic option.

It would be funny if Riot makes a low APM game mode where you can only perform a fixed number of actions per minute.

But yes...

But yes... 50k a lot of money on the line though. hardly just "entertainment" games for the teams playing.
