Really infuriating just to think about D: Why do people play these types of champions and not learn how to make use of what makes them unique and good?
True that. But the opposite is true as well. I played as Jungle Panth with a Tele/Nasus on my team last night, and he was all over the map making plays. Wither + Panth Gank was pretty damn terrifying.

to be honest Casper looked pretty bad in their last game when he was actually deny'd his main picks, skt is just so far ahead of the pack right now it's going to take more than that to matter.

I have a question. If all-star team in NA bootcamps it again, how will TSM (who will undoubtedly have two people going as allstars) be able to practice as a team for the other tournament as well?
|
it's not an all-star game (despite title) it's a mid season championship

I think the pickup games are just going to be for showmatch purposes while the full roster games will actually matter.

edit: plus there's lulzy stuff, like, you get a shorter predicted queue time for bot lane annie mage than bot lane annie support. WTF is going on here? I think people just want more playmaking out of the support position than the standard heal and peel.
I think it's because Annie (and Morgana, too) are labeled as mage not support. But that's just a prediction by Rito without any statistics behind it, yet. "Non-support" champion as support? -> Longer Queue.
More exact queue times will go live when teambuilder is out of beta I guess. I have no idea what I'm talking about btw but that's how I explained it to me.

I dunno about the lack of statistics thing, Twisted Fate's shortest queue time bottom is marksman before then mage.. that doesn't make sense unless they've got some statistic they're already using.

It's because of what Riot means by Support.
They're calling Support something that uses skills to directly buff/heal/shield an allied champion. Annie doesn't do that.
Leona gets shorter queue times as bot lane Tank than bot lane Support.

it's becasue mid is popular and almost every capitan will be searching for a bottom marksman

if you read the ama they said they are testing some extra que parameters that will make it longer just to get an idea of how specific they can make the final version without being too long for comfort.

Stuff like mid Soraka / Janna / Lulu has longer queues with Support tag than with Mage tag, that I think is strange.
It seems like they're mixing the Support "role" and the Support lane position some, when they should be two different things.
Edit: I just made a post about it on the feedback thread. + Show Spoiler +Lyte,
A little feedback in regards to initial thoughts on Teambuilder.
It seems like there's a bit of overlap between the Support "role" and the Support "lane position" when queueing for a game, and I feel like it might cause a bit of confusion. Let me give some examples of what I mean.
If I pick Annie and say I want to go to Bot lane. If I list my role as Mage, I get an Average wait time, while if I list my role as Support, I get a Very Long wait time.
This is a little confusing to me, since Annie typically goes to bot lane as the zero-CS support position, rather than as the farming position. So I can only assume when I list Annie as a Mage, other players will assume she's going support (hence the shorter queue time).
But in my mind, if I listed Annie as a Mage that means I want her in the farming position building damage items and not gold generation/team utility items, while if I wanted her in the Support position I'd list her as a Support.
This line of thinking is corroborated by the system, because if I say I want to go Mid lane with say, Soraka or Janna, I get a shorter queue time as a Mage than as a Support. I hope you can see the discontinuity here.
I feel like the system would be much clearer if there was a difference between the Support role and the Support position. That way I could list Annie as the Support position (not taking CS in a duo lane), but the Mage role (going to build damage items instead of Talisman/Mikaels/Locket), and it would let me put Soraka in mid lane in a solo lane position, but as the Support role (going to use that farm to buy utility items and transition to a supportive character later in the game.)
All in all it looks pretty good though. I'm very excited.

I actually really like that post I hope it catches attention.
I logged in just to up boat.

are you guys complaining about the actual wait times or just their displayed estimate?

idk if this is in right place but is anybody actually thinking of going to allstars?

I saw the earlier Diana jungle talk, and this is more of a general laning Diana question.
When to go Lich Bane in lane or not? I've never built it ever myself, but I almost always defaulted to the Abyssal-> Hourglass vs. AP and vice versa vs. AD.
Sometimes if I'm running TP, I'll go Nashors, but now I'm curious about this Lich Bane Diana. Or is that a strictly objective-based item (like Nashors)?
