Be a lot harder to mid Zed/Yasuo/etc against most common mids with a Dshield nerf. Not that I'm saying Dshield shouldn't be nerfed, I just think that's why they're taking their time with it. | ||

The doran's shield nerf will primarily target champion's with innate sustain (such as Garen/Renekton) but also tanky supports like Thresh/Leona, who already have good base hp5. I don't see how this will affect Zed and Yasuo. Zed did just fine prior to the doran's shield hype and I'm positive he will still be as good as a pick, even without the hp5. | ||

Well it depends what the naut is trying to do. If it's a situation where he has to kill you for his team to win the teamfight, (as in his team will lose the 4v4 unless he deals with you and comes back) then yes he can't do much, but if it's a situation where his only job is to keep a caitlyn/jinx/whatever away from the fight for 4-5 seconds, (say a situation where your mid isn't fed so you rely on your adc for all your damage) while his team destroys the 4v4, then naut could be really strong, because it's a lot harder for your support to peel a naut off you then it is for them to force a riven to back off. If he wants to make your adc back off then he can, and there isn't a huge amount you can do about it.. | ||

It's part of his arsenal, I agree, but since he tends to use it to initiate or counter-initiate, I was talking more about "after the initial clash". If you know his ult is on cd, his damage is too low for him to be a threat by himself, and his main tool is keeping his Q available to make you wary of a hook into one of his teammate following up on you. However, since his damage is low, his base MS tied lowest, and he has to hold on his main mobility tool, he can't really stick to the person he's trying to zone, nor make him fear for his life, and he can't commit too hard for fear of being unable to run away once he gets low. At some points in the game he can do this job, but overall I feel like it's very awkward to zone as Nautilus once your ult is down and your team wants to commit on another target. It also kinda forces him to build even tankier because it's so hard for him to get away (his Q, like Vi's, has a fucked up hitbox and is very easy to stop*), reducing his "direct" impact further. On the other hand his kit is still good peel, I just think that he's really weak offensively once the initiation is cast. * which reminds me, yesterday as Vi I got knocked back during my ult by a Vayne. I didn't even start the "lift-up" animation, I was just knocked back directly. Her ult's cc immunity is definitely bugged wrt displacements, although it only concerns the end of the dash. | ||
