I still see him banned and played all the time, and most of the time he's an annoying asshole. The fact that he deals billions of dmg with like 7 seconds of untargetability hasn't gone anywhere. Still, it can be even up to a 1.0 ap ratio loss on a gank and that is pretty significant. The ratio never made sense in the first place - .35 ap ratio on a 30 dmg skill? I wonder what people would think if a 350 dmg skill had a 3.5 AP ratio...

Oh? Well isn't that because assassins just aren't that good?

0.6-1.0 AP ratio on an assassination is a pretty significant nerf if you ask me.

Kassadin just hard counters your bot lane and snowballs top.

Hm, I'm not sure.
even Kassadin vs Riven felt fine... until the Riven got like 5 kills on other lanes. Kassadin still is crazy strong lategame and feels almost impossible to lose with if your team gets there almost even.
I think his laning is underrated, W is extremely strong even vs AD-based champions if you trade with it aggressively.

Does anyone know how the vlad vs mundo matchup plays out? Never played that matchup but Mundo really should stomp Vlad. Mundo's very tough to harrass off the lane, can comfortably rush Cowl -> Spirit Visage, Cleaver is perfect against Vladimir, and Vladimir has nothing to get away with after Mundo activates his ultimate. I'm not expecting Vlad to win the match up, but can he at least farm decently in it though? Keep up with in 10 or 20 cs in lane, without dying? I played this matchup in an EUW inhouse last week, me being Mundo, and yes Vlad is basically dead meat. Before he gets pool you can just stand in his minion wave and throw cleavers at him when he shows and if you hit one you take him down to 1/3 HP minimum, and after he gets pool you are also stronger and Vlad basically has to dodge the cleaver or pool it, if it hits and then he pools you can still just run up and start killing him. Also if he pools he basically can't farm for the duration of pool CD. You can also towerdive him at will after level 9 I think. Or at least after you get SV.

Did you know that when Vi ults Hecarim, Hecarim can activate his ult and Vi's ult doesn't CC him?
Doesn't that even let Hecarim turn on Vi by aiming his ult so that it dodges the CC of Vi's ult and fears her afterwards...

Vlad basically autoloses vs. ANYBODY who can get to him early on, especially if they have strong base damages. One cleaver landed at level 2 onwards and he has to pool the second one, or he dies/summoners. Even at level 1, landing a cleaver and just walking at him can already deny incredibly hard because mundo with dshield laughs at auto harass. E at level 2 and from then on out you have very credible kill threat.

I really think Fizz's W is pretty garbage beyond the healing reduction.

Perhaps, but I think in gold at least, Vlad is decent. Most players are bad and do not know how to properly punish him and/or towerdive Vlad when pool is up. It's hilarious.
He is still my go-to top laner when I am forced to play the role.

So weird, Chau doesn't play solo queue for like 2 years when on CLG, then he retires. Starts streaming solo queue. Not that I'm really complaining, since Chauster's stream is #1.
