97, 96 if you count asking how to spell Cassiopeia as cheating. I noticed the easiest way for me to do this was to string champions together by city state/region. As a result, places like Shadow Isles, smaller regions, and oddly Noxus had most of my missing ones.

You're only allowed one gp10 at a time I think. Anything else is a bug.

Same: I grouped champions by lore relations/city-states/regions, which meant champions like fucking Nidalee, Shaco, and Aatrox (lol) took me near the time limit to figure out. Also Gragas, oddly enough. <_<

I thought Victribell 3 times while trying to think Viktor, seeing as my first involvement with this site was a first 151pkmn quiz.

yea it's for sure working now i just tried it, I rember it being one of the first things I tried on patch day to no avail.

Oh I was about to come and say its curious how I accidently grouped champions by lore in my mind but it seems so did everyone else. :S Riot lore is popular on team liquid it seems.

Just did an all for one Leona vs Fiora. Lulz were had as sunfire popped sunlight.

I did champs by lane/role mostly. Seems like the most obvious way to do it.
As for support, I really like the changes. I see no detriment to having a proper amount of gold to spend on gear so you are more of a threat or more useful in a fight. The ward limits were hard to get used to, largely because it relies on other people to actually adjust and help carry the burden. This will take time for around silver ELO and admittedly may never happen in low bronze (but I suspect even supports don't ward much at those ratings). The only change that irks me a bit is pink wards being hot garbage now. Mostly because of evelynn but still. I end up just pinking my own jungle mostly as some have suggested on here because it is very useful against counter jungling and doesn't get destroyed so easily.

Does mystery skin only give you skins of champions you own?

Yes, it even says that in their write up.

That's what I don't like about this patch. It totally flies in the face of LoL design.
Could you imagine riot's response to having their game compared to Magic in terms of relationships between several things?
Riot had always been strong at keeping things simple and effective. This patch is confusing, convoluted, and forced.
Trinkets are confusing. No one understand or uses them effectively. No one knows how gold item's interact with one another. Player choices feel like they aren't actually choices anymore, instead they feel like guidelines you just follow because it's coded so that that method stronger.
It reminds me of when blizz made the decision to make talent trees all only good for one thing; rogues for example could pve and pvp efficiently with assassination or combat with splashing of subtlety. Then they made it so you could only ever pvp with assassination, and only ever pvp with combat.
kind of like how a jungle could have started cloth, boots, Doran, wards, even Oracle's in side occasions. Now you just start machete and get a jungle item because they are just coded optimal. Or how a support could get GP10s or instead opt for Dorans items and just win lanes harder etc, but now just get them GP10s because that is what is coded as the best.
|
Honestly, I dont care if there is an optimal start for everyone. The thing is, it was much better when that optimal start was Boots/3Pots. The Dorans starts and Machete S3 (or the mass pots starts when those were allowed), and on top of that the gold generation starts in S4 are much worse, particularly for junglers. Optimal starts, particualrly optimal starts that put every character at every position in the same place are good for the game because they reduce the power of lvl 1 fog of war (which is the worst part of the game competitively).
If there is an optimal path after the start, that can be a problem, though. Because it eliminates powercurves.

I hate the jungler items. Wish they removed the "butcher" effect from the game.
I don't care if mids occasionally stole camps, having to build items because they let you kill creeps faster is worse.
Most annoying thing ever is starting Ravenous Hydra on a jungler for ten games, doing X damage, then noticing how smooth elder lizard is for letting you sustain the jungle and clear it, and doing .8X damage to champions.

I used to like the jungler items when they were slot inefficient cost efficient items.
But Riot got upset cuz laners bought them too and that ruined their design philosophy or something.
Same with Locket/Aegis. As a jungler I could #4/5 and have Golem+Locket+Aegis late game and be pretty tanky anyway despite not having eons of gold. Instead, now I just forced to have less gold and has slot inefficient cost inneficeint items because riot says so. RAWR!
