In regards to Darius, how well does Aatrox fare against him? I've been playing Aatrox a lot, but avoiding that MU because I wasn't sure. I think he'd be ok against Darius though, right? The thing is with Darius versus most melee's is that when every you go to last hit the D-man can just go and Decimate you for some nice damage. Sure you could go on him then if he did that, but then also remember that Darius's crippling strike also has an attack speed debuff on it, so I can't imagine that being any good for Aatrox. Not to mention all the damage you'd be taking from Darius's passive. You could try and wear him down by throwing Blades of Torment at him, but in my experience those are rather easy to dodge. Also when Darius hits level 6, he can easily kill you at half health if you have 4-5 stacks of Hemorrhage on you. Ignite + Noxian Guillotine has some stupid high kill potential. Aatrox also has his revive though, so I'm not 100% sure how it'd all play out. But I'd put my money on Darius. Darius gets to Guillotine through Aatrox's Blood Well, so you have to remember that. As in he gets that reset and wait for Aatrox to revive. The worst thing about playing against Darius as another melee is that at even health, you have to account for the burst from his ulti. Everything of his kit is geared for anti-melee, from bleed to Decimate AS debuff. The ulti just tops it off. Aatrox could all in pre/around 3-4 but I can't see Aatrox winning 1v1 level 6 on.
wait what
Darius ult resets on Aatrox passive activation??? no fucking way

He's also good at forcing the fight with orbwalking because of his passive slow stack. Also, highest lvl 1 health in the game doesn't hurt.
GP will beat darius because darius won' be able to get a 2nd ability off. He'll win if he has an item advantage or if he gets to get a good Q off, run away for a bit, then fight, but that's not really a fair assessment of the 1v1.
GP has a stupid level one because he has 495 base health, the highest in the game.

I didn't know that either, wtf
Aatrox is damn weak when his passive revives him. He keeps none of his attack speed. So Darius would probably just roll him.

Smells like justice.
Can I also ult every one of ZAC's blobs?
Edit: Forgot Darius is like 1 of the 5 people left in the game with an ult with real mana costs. BLAH

Can't ult minions, so I doubt it. Maybe though.

Are you sure about this? Because I'm 90% sure that this doesn't happen.
Source: me playing against Aatrox on Twisted Treeline. And getting reaaallly angry.
I think Darius still wins 1v1 because you do so much damage you shouldn't even need to ult until his passive is already down.

Clearly lying. That must be false.
Please let that be false.

I remember having a huge argument with bly or something when HSGG fucking failed hardcore in some game on stream thinking he could do that and I said that it's fucking insane that pro players don't know details like that when I do.

Maybe this should go into the QQ thread, but people really need to fucking stop with the victim attitude.
I'm duo bot with a random Zyra, who starts DRing. I don't say a fucking word until she's 0-5 after running facefirst into both of them while I'm at tower, and I just say "Zyra, stop ffs". Now I'M the fucking bad guy. I'm harassing. I'm yelling. I'm an asshole, claim both teams. Because my teammate is feeding and I call her out on it.
This isn't the first time. If someone on your team is feeding and playing like shit, if they're not like apologizing and trying to play better you should very well be able to call them on their shit. You're not a bad guy for pointing out the fucking obvious truth.
|
I think calling people out on their mistakes in solo queue is a waste of time. Its not like you calling them out is going to teach them a lesson; most of the time they will think you are a rager and ignore you.
If you are going to comment on someones bad plays in solo queue either be constructive, or say nothing. By flaming your laning partner you are just further hurting your chances of winning.
But then again if you support is 0/5 your chances of winning are looking a bit grim anyway so flame away? lol
|
I think part of the problem is that no one tries to die in lane and no one feels good when they go 0-5 and you simply saying "ffs you're feeding" is probably harping on something they're already stressed about.
I know because I've done that to people IRL except with more polite criticism and they still got super tense.
I think about the only comment that would go well with that zyra would be "zyra please be more careful you've died a lot and we need you alive for next teamfight/dragon" but that kind of patience seems to be beyond the capabilities of many people, including myself (I tend to just not say anything).

I think about the only comment that would go well with that zyra would be "zyra please be more careful you've died a lot" That would set me off. I hate being handled. Instead you could say it like "Play safer Zyra" because "you've died a lot" sounds like a personal attack even if it's your justification. Even better "play safe everyone, we'll win late game" makes it so you're not singling out a specific person to play safe and honestly, you want the whole team to play safe.
|
...but I said please and even typed out all 6 letters of it!
IDK, I've had people say that kind of thing to me and I haven't gotten mad about it cause I know they're just trying to help (rather than reacting angrily) and sometimes it actually does help me un-tilt. I feel like going to the next level and basically making it seem like safety was their idea in the first place is more people handling than, well, I could handle.
|
If people needed to apologize for playing like shit then anyone at my MMR would have to spend half the game game typing apologies.
It's just as fucking obvious that anyone (me included) at this level is terrible, but that doesn't mean that it's appropriate for me to talk down other people -- regardless of how they're performing. If they're not doing it intentionally then calling them feeders won't help. If they're doing it intentionally it won't help either.
Everyone has good or bad games. I play egregiously poorly at times, but ranting about it in game won't do anything useful, but it might kick off a long sequence of verbal abuse. Calling people bad isn't "pointing out the fucking obvious truth", it's pointless hostility based on a completely unwarranted sense of self-righteousness.
Unless, of course, Zyra asked you to provide feedback on her current level of performance, in which case it's perfectly appropriate express your disappointment.
|
No, but once I called her out on it in hopefully a level-headed manner (and for not placing wards despite having sightstone), she said "I don't care I do what I want" and proceeded to throw spells, including her ult, into waves to steal farm from me. At that point I said something in all chat, which prompted the entire other team to tell me I was reported for being toxic.
Oh well. Carried a game as Teemo right after. The universe has a way of balancing things out I guess.

I think your response would be perfectly appropriate, but generally, whether someone else starts raging or not is entirely up to them, not you.
You may or may not have been acting in a way that the general community (or tribunal, or whoever you take as the standard) would condone, but in the end it's up to every person to decide how they want to act. There's no good reason to rage to begin with, different people just bring along different sensitivities, and you can pick your actions based on how you think they'll react -- but there's always someone who will rage for some incredibly petty reason that is beyond your control. They'll also be very confident that they're perfectly justified in doing whatever it is they feel like doing, and I usually just mute people as soon as that happens instead of trying to cater to their every whim in order to pacify them.

Is there a concensus on whom the soft counter to Jinx is yet? She just seems kinda good against everyone.
Also Kiss in his Plat promo series, gdlk
