I feel like beating Jinx in lane is more about picking the correct support and denying her a support that does well vs. your's.

Also Kiss in his Plat promo series, gdlk Would just like to venture a little tidbit of Lucian into this.
|
when I play bot lane I support, that said, to beat jinx your goal, in my mind is to get Sona without her getting Leona/Annie/Zyra or to get Leona or Annie if she gets sona and abuse the Sona (don't focuse the Jinx)
granted those are like all the popular supports at the moment so the easiest situation to create is to pick into an already picked Sona, but if you have to pick first take Zyra it doesn't "counter" Jinx, but I'm not sure what beats Jinx/Zyra.
@above, also yes, I've had success with Lucian using this strategy.

I don't think it's Jinx being good in lane as opposed to people not knowing how to dodge her ridiculously easy to dodge poke.
|
I'm not gonna say that Zap is hard to dodge, but it's not as though it's unreasonable for Jinx to be hitting it.
It's got the same windup time as Piltover Peacemaker and travels faster. Caitlyn is expected to hit those in lane repeatedly.

One of them has a line that tells you where it's going and the other doesn't.
I'll be fair and say that when I'm in shitgamer elo, it doesn't really matter, but I have no ms quints/boots and I'm dodging every Jinx thingy if I'm support and then my adc tanks all of them to his face. Iono...I personally think it's really simple to just walk away.

It's not that bad, but I'm still getting used to the hitbox. I feel like both Zap and Flame Chompers are a bit difficult to dodge, as Zap's hitbox is wider than the projectile by a bit and Chompers arm almost fucking immediately.
She's not overbearing in lane, but she doesn't have many weaknesses aside from her lack of a dash. She's hard to dive, she tears towers down fast, she can farm easily with either form of Q and pushes rather hard if she wants. Q is just kinda fucking good.

|
Isn't Cait's projectile thing also wider?
|
it's a lot wider and passes thru minions with a reasonable (read:not Sivir) damage drop.
|
Yeah, Peacemaker is one of the better designed spells imo. I've never felt like it was too weak or too strong in any situation.
|
It's obviously a lot harder to hit Zap because it doesn't travel through minions.
But even so, it's not as though it's unreasonable to expect Jinx to be hitting people with it.

Iono...I personally think it's really simple to just walk away. It's always easier to dodge skillshots as the support. ADCs have to be timing last hits, harass, dodging harass from the enemy bot duo, be map aware and control the creep wave. Supports have a much easier time of dodging because more of their attention is focused on it.
