considering they won't get another paycheck ever unless they win a qualifier, I don't really see how Riot would be in position to hold them to rules different than any other challenger team.

If the double suicide I just witnessed on EUW challenger is something that happens I don't blame MYM for taking this chance Jimbz kennace still good stuff tho.

twice in a row I get unknown error, twice forced to queue dodge, twice lose league points.
I guess I'm not playing ranked until they fix their client(again)

that's how it was last split, but the rules were changed this split (just a few days ago actually) to allow non-LCS *locked* teams (aka curse coast velocity) to participate in challenger tournaments as challengers so that we can have events to practice at.

AP corki is also super fun and more annoying version of AP Nid :D Yeah, the fact that Corki's escape no longer costs 1/2 of his mana pool was a huge buff, and frees his chronically short mana pool for midgame dmgz.

So I went on an OGN binge last night. Got through KTB v. Frost #1, and KTB v. Blaze. Going to finish the rest of qualifiers tonight, but, he KTB v. Blaze matches were incredibly underwhelming. Blaze has 4 Zunas on the team.

So some guy asked about Cho'Gath support, and when he asked for details after I answered that it's "probably doable, but not optimal" I found myself a bit lost as to what to tell him precisely.
+ Show Spoiler [What I thought/said] +When looking at his kit, it screams "doesn't contribute enough" to me: his passive needs him to kill stuff so it doesn't see much use, his ult could grant him tankiness but he'd need time for this and he'd easily lose it on death (esp. considering his budget won't give him much to bolster this HP buffer). Because of this he seems closer to some kind of poke/disengage support, using Rupture (although it could be used to try and get an initiation if the enemy comp lacks poke to punish his going in front), or a more defensive role, peeling for his carry with Rupture and Feral Scream (especially against caster assassins like Zed, Akali, etc. over Fizz or Irelia) and using his ult to help nuke the diver.
During the laning phase he seems quite weak: he doesn't have the pure damage output of Taric, Leona, etc. until level 6, nor does he have any form of sustain (shields/heals) and his poke/harass is limited because he's melee with either short or hard to hit spells. Although I noticed that Rupture is a one-point wonder for everything but damage, and most notably the 9s cd, which is significantly shorter than other supports' cc (Nami's Q, Lulu's W, Zyra's E, Leona's E/Q, etc.), at least until they're maxed. So with a player able to reliably land Rupture, it's possible to bait out/trade so the enemy is down his escape/cc abilities, then use the gap to reengage and win more convincingly. Also abusing his ult's short cd the way Leona uses hers against, say, Sona (she disengages when both hit 6, but Solar Flare'll be up before Crescendo and then she'll have nothing). This style would lose hard to all-in duos though.
In the end, I wasn't too sure what to tell him because Cho'Gath on the whole didn't strike me as a "bad" support per see, more that he's being outclassed in what he does by other picks. I certainly missed some stuff as to why he's not a good support, though?

what are they nerfing this makes no sense to me.
ok I found it. nerfing burnout damage at max rank, and speed at minimum rank, I guess we'll wait for the context post? if this isn't a counter balance to some other buff I'm not sure why they are doing it.

Probably just ask him to explain how a Cho'Gath lane survives vs. Thresh-Cait. And then ask why such a lane is better for a team than Thresh-Cait? IDK, Cho' is not a BAD support, hes clearly superior to a significant portion of the roster with 0 farm (and I think Cho could be a really nice support against some cheesy Jarvan+Xin botlane), but its like Diana Jungle: Better than 80% of the roster at jungling, but not really a good jungler.

Her ult is buffed in a weird manner, where she leaves a burnt trail behind her during her flight, that lasts for 4s and potentially doubles the ult's damage, so maybe they wanted to reduce her ground-"targeted" damage output in dragon form. It's still weird because since you displace people with you as you ult, they won't stand in the trail unless they run past you (or you use your ult to run).

I'm not really sure why they are nerfing it, perhaps to hit her laning phase which is very strong right now. Burnout does obscene damage if you can get the full duration which isn't that hard considering the speed boost. Still, I don't really think she is too strong in lane and don't think these nerfs are necessary. She doesn't bring anything else to the table except brute force damage so if that's nerfed then she really has nothing left.

Oh, this makes more sense to me then. I don't know if I like the change though. I guess her team fighting might be better with the burning effect built into the ult because it was tough to keep burnout running if the enemy had good cc/kiting in the beginning of the fight. I guess I'll have to wait and see if its worth it.
