7 second stuns, everyone has a "QSS", half of these picks can TF ulti/blick like every 5 seconds, these Pudge hooks, walls, and overall it just seems like Dota2 is the "Marvel 3" while LoL is the "Street Fighter" imo.
Could just me just not fully understanding exactly whats going on in Dota2 and/or my friend exaggerating things.

It's been fun going through the DotA wiki learning what some of the champions I've never heard of do. Oh Venomancer has a skillshot slow.... and it lasts 13 seconds.... oh Clockwerk has a super J4 ult... on a 15 second cooldown... you see all these normal league abilities and then theres inevitably something seemingly insanely OP about them. But then thats DotA design style, I enjoy it but based on the amount of bitching about Pudge/Chen combo there's a lot of people out there who prefer the more flat, counterplay oriented LoL style.

i think most people were just mad that NAVI lost the game extremely badly early on, but just stalled the game with an extremely cheesy high risk strategy that delayed the game by a good amount resulting in winning the game. fountain hooking is intended and probably will stay in the game contrary to what a few angry LR participants want

The first game of Dota2 I watched was that 98 minute snorefest. I'm glad that I think it was IG won because DK fucked around for 30 fucking minutes and did nothing with their advantage.
And if Koreans really got into Dota2 I can guarantee they would shit stomp that level of play.

the level of play in that game was very high level. thats mainly you not understanding the knifes edge that the game was actually riding on with the weavers split push presence as well as the dynamic of divine rapier in the game completely negating DKs gold advantage

It was mostly fountain hooks and the threat of fountain hooks stalling it out long enough for Xboct to farm up his Alch into an unstoppable juggernaut.
Personally, I don't think fountain hooking should be allowed/part of the game. If I recall correctly, fountain hooking was actually patched out of WC3 Dota.

And if Koreans really got into Dota2 I can guarantee they would shit stomp that level of play. I'm not sure about that. There are certain elements of Dota 2 that make turtling pretty easy in the right matchups.
Specifically the relative scarcity of vision and high ground advantage. There's also some abilities that turtle extremely well like Dark Seer's ultimate.

Alchemist is a better 1v1 hero than Gyro(TF carry). TF had a timing where they could get aegis then push into the base but as they got that Dendi landed a fountain hook so it removed the timing they had. This bought space for alchemist to gain the gold lead over TF carries so even though TF had all this farm early they couldn't convert it into any advantage and then Navi managed to catch them in a bad engage for the win.
TF didn't have any real way to engage on Navi so they couldn't siege objectives with the threat of fountain hooking into a 5v4(Pudge isn't really important in the teamfight outside of the hook)

Why do the heroes in DotA all have their own color on the minimap?
It's hard to even tell what team they're on, even though it's X's and O's I guess?

You can change it to be team colours or what player colours are. Really preference(I prefer player colours so I can tell what hero it is instantly).

the map can be customized to ones liking, you can increase the size of the icons or have it be permanently set to a heroes icon but most people prefer the color because of years of playing u just know which color is on which team

The color scheme is a legacy from the Wc3 days. Dire side heroes all have 'darker' colors while the radiant are brighter in general.

The salt reached it's peak after Navi won the game. The debate is still going on even through the Fnatic vs Orange game. It's getting pretty old lol.

It's pretty sad that it's still going on when H4nni is beasting so hard. Also funny how LoL and SC2 is being blamed for the reason it's continuing. Always got to hate other games even if they aren't involved..

On the other hand, you have spells that cost 200 mana when the mana pool is like 600.
Even though League is based on DotA they're pretty much entirely different games and trying to compare between the two on granular levels isn't very helpful since a lot of the interaction works on a high level.
