I only lose about 40% of the time so multiply that by .4 and I'm probably coming up on about 5k games total Even if each game is only half an hour then that's still 2.5k hours of LoL played I also used to be in a scbw clan called NO PRIDE NO LIFE npnl HWAITING

When you approach a promotion from a division 1 to another league for the first time, the system ARTIFICIALLY CAPS YOUR LP GAINS regardless of your MMR. The trick is to lose one game then win the very next after getting really close. I was at 70~ and gained 12 6 4 3 3 to put me at 98 then lost one for -21 to put me down to 77 then won one and it instantly put me into a promo series. Before that I was gaining +30~ a win and now that I'm in plat 5 I'm getting about +24 a win. It's a super stupid artificial cap that only happens at the 1st division of your league promo approach. Yeah, had the same thing in gold 1. Freaked out when I won 1-2 points per game, then lost 16, but after that loss, I got straight into promotion. Riot put that cap in to make sure people don't get into a higher league because of a fluke streak, then just lose games and stay close to 0 LP in the lowest division. The system is strange, but just keep playing (and winning ![]()

varus + soraka is stupid, the cc on varus makes up for the weakness of the sivir/raka lane. you can go like wqewqr and play a tanky soraka where you just run in, bait the enemy team into fighting you, heal yourself and then murder them with q spam/shred and blight. all you need is chalice + ss and you're pretty much good to go.

WC3 Ladder system comes to mind. I'm almost positive it isn't just a background Elo system(even their old system had MMR behind the Elo).

Soraka + blue build ez has some merits as well, if you don't die first few levels, ez can just spam spells nonstop, with endless mana and great sustain from soraka. Not gonna call it op or anything, but it could be strong. @_red: Maybe, but I had a friend who went from gold 3 to plat promotion series without a loss, and his LP gain never even slowed down. He just went like 42->60->80->promo series in gold 1, which is nothing like the experiences I have had in gold 1. Would be nice if Riot just explained exactly how the system works. Maybe it would be too easy to abuse, but right now it's just kinda confusing. Or maybe I should just play the game and stop thinking so much, iono.

Both sides have their advantages.. BoRK is only good for the active, so get it when someone's going to be diving you and Tumble and Condemn won't be enough. Otherwise, Statikk Shiv or IE is where it's at. What's the appeal of BT?

...I'm just going to post a spreadsheet of the difference in starts/build paths in the TL thread. On May 02 2013 09:57 OutlaW- wrote: Has there been any consensus reached in the BotRK vs BT on Vayne? I never know which one to get, and can't adequately decide just from my anecdotal evidence. Both sides have their advantages.. BotRK is better versus a tanky frontline (likely health stacking? Yes), and the active is a very nice bit of kiting and small burst sustain. BT is generally better against squishier teams. Beyond that, it depends. BotRK is better for 1-item damage then BT, and also slightly better if you're behind (given stacking on BT). BT is better if you're ahead, and a BF sword isa major lane item buy (greater then Cutlass). On May 02 2013 10:03 Alzadar wrote: Otherwise, Statikk Shiv or IE is where it's at. What's the appeal of BT? Vayne can't survive if she goes IE/SS/PD first, unless the enemy team is seriously improperly built. Comparatively short range means she needs the sustain to bolster her survivability compared to Ashe, Cait, Twitch, Kog, and Trist, whose longer ranges mean they can go the IE/PD/LW given their greater safety. Vayne ain't safe.

AD runes gimp her damage, unless it's level 1 and you started Q (you lose damage vs ArPen page starting level 2). <_> At basically every other point in the game, ArPen is better (unless you need the AD to last hit, but wtf you have a free fort pot in damage for a W for last hitting). ...I'm just going to post a spreadsheet of the difference in starts/build paths in the TL thread. Vayne ain't safe. But will that BT actually do much in an actual fight? I can see it working wonders during clean up, but in a big fight I'd think that life steal is moot when you're dead the second they get on you (and with vayne's short range, it's even worse). Seems to me that you'd want to deal as much damage as possible while your cooldowns aren't yet all down, and IE would be best for that.
