It's not confined to people near the top of their division. Does it matter much? No. But it isn't derailing the thread for pages and pages like "what is a tank." This happens because your mmr is a lot lower than your current league. It doesn't matter at all where in a league you are.The only reason you get lower when you are closer to a promotion is that the expected mmr gets higher. Pretty much agree, Cait is probably the best all-around AD. Range good skill to have. I mean, she can get gimped, but overall she has the smoothest and easiest "power curve", if that makes sense-- she can farm easy, fight easy, etc whereas Vayne has atrocious laning, Kog does as well to an extent, Trist has crap midgame, so forth. Varus/ Kog probably the other two strongest AD's right now, though they all fit different team compositions. Cait has the advantage that she can pair with nearly any support and almost any team comp and still be a decent choice. Range also OP. Sort of like Lulu and Thresh in a way where you don't have to think terribly hard, pick them and still have a decent team comp at worst. Seriously, i have like 150 normal wins and dont touch normals unless im back off a long break and need a few games practice (read: 2-3) yet everyone else seems like they spent half their life there? I mean, i have about 400 games in S2 so thats 200 wins there at 50% which it was close to. Im at 150 S3 now with 78 wins so overall thats 278 or something close in ranked Seriously, do i play literally no LoL whatsoever compared to everyone else? Is every LoL player on the planet a nolifer xD 1 game averages 35 mins ish, so with picks / bans + queues / other shit make it 45 min. 4 games a day is 3 hours, an average "light" gaming session. make that double on weekends and you've got 36 games / 18 wins a week. So in a year you've only got a little over 200 wins, people must no-life HARD or have been playing non-stop for 2+ years or any combination of the two, over 2 years of LoL, I think ive only played it for about 12 months with all the breaks i take, but even so its impressive. TL:DR - LoL players be nolifing.

Either the person who is basically a Nazi with no compelling qualities, the weird space alien who doesn't actually have any motivation or really any character (and who's symbol is a uterus), or the person who has actual consistent lore, some form of character development, and whose entire tribe was actually in the Freljord originally. And has arrows. It's a simple choice. No doubt! Ashe is one of the most likable champions in LoL. Shes so pretty and wise :3 and that icon is fucking legit, frost arrows all up in this crown

Also cait isn't good at peeling for herself she is good at sieging or defending towers. In a real teamfight your only escape is a small dash(which slows) and is easily interruptable.Your range doesn't make you immune to the infinity gap closers every champ has. her range makes it much easier to kite. other adcs not named tristana have to constantly reposition themselves, whereas that extra range on cait makes it so that those with gap closers have to commit hard to catch her. on top of that, she's so versatile because she's safe sustained damage so she fits in any comp. there are obvious tradeoffs when you pick versatility over a specialization but there are very few times where you can pick caitlyn and it would be detrimental to your team. someone said soraka has a weak lane phase? i think it's dependent on your adc. sivir/soraka is obnoxious. you can also bait lots of fights and abuse the armor buff on healing. the biggest problem with picking soraka is that cc is more valued off of the support position. silence just doesn't cut it once the tower goes down.

Sorry i meant i had 150 normal wins the other stats were my ranked stats. I was just comparing my overall games / wins to peoples normal wins - its absurdly different

Captain obvious out. Except the "captain obvious" explanation makes no sense, because it happened to me at the end of a 9 game winning streak when I was getting 18-20 points for wins before the streak. Unless you think my elo magically went down during my streak, that explains nothing.

Captain obvious out. No, this is wrong. When you approach a promotion from a division 1 to another league for the first time, the system ARTIFICIALLY CAPS YOUR LP GAINS regardless of your MMR. The trick is to lose one game then win the very next after getting really close. I was at 70~ and gained 12 6 4 3 3 to put me at 98 then lost one for -21 to put me down to 77 then won one and it instantly put me into a promo series. Before that I was gaining +30~ a win and now that I'm in plat 5 I'm getting about +24 a win. It's a super stupid artificial cap that only happens at the 1st division of your league promo approach.

Some people just play normals because they don't care about ratings but don't want to play the shitfest that is blind pick.

I think it's set up like that because once you're in a league the only way out is decay from not playing for a really long period of time. On the plus side, once you're in the next league you shoot through ranks like crazy.
