So, new skin idea:
Brand Brand: He's a brand! It might be hard to get all the companies in on this (or for free advertizing, I think it might be easy), but he's "swag" like a shirt with a big logo, some branded visor, and such. His pillar of flame actually brings forth a Mountain Dew bottle. He E puts some kind of advertisement on the other guy. And his ult is... yeah not a really complete idea.
Or mad scientist Brand with flubber as his ult...

I was thinking of a pirate Brand.

I wouldn't put Brand on anything flammable like a ship :3. I need to start playing Brand (aka playing mid) some more. I haven't touched mid in what feels like a couple weeks lol

Such a pity riot had to gut him even after S3 hurt him. Sure his kit maybe way too broken but the potential awesomeness is too great to not have lee in league tbh. Like if you wanted to show people leagues potential i'd show them Diamond playing lee or some other awesome lee plays

I have a "serious" issue. I have played 1 single match in more than 1 month. Even though I was playing pretty well, I just didn't feel like playing another one. Somehow, most champs just seem too dull. Interestingly enough, I am still enjoying watching streams. Does anyone have an advice how to get motivated to play?

Go back to what first made you want to play league and have fun with it. There's no real way someone can motivate you to do something you don't enjoy. Find that what makes it enjoyable.

Does anyone have an advice how to get motivated to play? Try Dominion. It's a change in pace compared to a longer Summoner's Rift game, and gives you some insights like "why doesn't Riot buff revive/heimerdinger"
Part of the funnest moments in LoL was when you had no idea what was going on, or what the meta was, and you were just running around having fun. Dominion can bring you back to those times -- what's the meta? what does that little thing in the middle of the map do? who knows!

Odd thing is that I absolutely abhor watching streams for the most part and would rather play the game. It seems so boring to watch most people play when I can just tell myself, I can do that. I used to enjoy watching streams but these days, it just feels like if I'm not watching any sort of professional matches, I'm not really learning anything and would be better off just playing a game or doing something else. But everyone likes something different i guess lol ^_^

Finding your roots, always a healthy outlook. Not speaking only about League but you bring up a good, salient point.

On April 09 2013 07:25 TheYango wrote: It's not even that there's no variability in opening's. It's just that the potential variability through runes and masteries exceeds that of items, so it's not a surprise that people will take the one "best" item opening and fine tune their runes and masteries per matchup--which, again, people actually do. I am not sure it's the total variability so much as the nonlinear opportunity costs in runes/masteries. Most of the rune pages which do not have one ability in the particular rune type do so because of later game breakpoints. The opportunity cost within rune type is linear but breaks as you move between slots. Because of this any particular dominating choice in a particular slot is unlikely to be dominating in another.
Since runes do not have to compete with pots the options, rather than existing on the sustain vs now spectrum, exist on only an optimal now spectrum. Because of this you can choose whatever optimal now structure that best suits your lane without regard to the sustain or late game item purchase decisions.
I mean imagine if they removed pots of all kinds and started champions off with 1500 gold or so. It should be clear that item starts would be more variable

Also it's annoying that Yango's a mod now, I have to actually read MB's posts before I recognise him (not that there isn't some dichotomy between there favourite topics and average post length that you stay confused for long ) and sometimes there's that "Uh? I'd never have thought Yango wasn't into t- oh" moments. Go back to meta analysis MB! :<
