This is probably a nitpick. I don't know if you can say Anivia in this case. Although I understand your point, she's more of a combo of Orianna + Nidalee if you really want to go that far. Her zoning potential is a lot closer to Orianna than it is Anivia. There's also the point that Lux's build up is A LOT faster mid game than Anivia will ever be. This is why it's reminding me of Orianna. Anivia is just a whole different ball game in almost every aspect. Anivia's postioning in a team fight is heavily reliant her ult being positioned well.

ironically, lux's only change was her quality of life on her E, for the longest time. Yet everyone pretty much called her shit, and no one played her; There were jokes about a high elo guy who spammed lux games, with ridic KDA but barely broke .500 in w/l The major complaint was that her late game power scaling dropped too much.



Item changes played a huge role in bringing Lux to the front. It was coming out in the end of season 2 as well, but not as much as now. Specifically CDR + AP has gotten a lot cheaper and easier to itemize. CDR blue rune pages are now non-existent, and that's pretty HUGE.

Yeah in all seriousness I think the Lux change is fine. She'll still be strong. And it's a nerf that fits her playstyle.

Edit: And hopefully it will mean everybody will stop playing her and I can be a special snowflake again.

I was thinking about Anivia mainly for the late game and general anti-siege capabilities. But that's one of my gripes with her (the amount of damage from a friggin' safe champ, how she can reach the "all-in-one" package stage that Anivia sports too), so I guess I focus on that. Somebody was extremely enthusiastic when he first realised that with maxed CDR, Lux can ult every creep wave and as such virtually deny single-lane tower pushes indefinitely assuming she has enough mana regen (Morello, Grail, blue buff, Soraka, etc.); I was pretty dejected, as it makes for extremely stale and boring gameplay, and essentially nulls any counterpush attempts at a comeback from the opposing team (as a splitpush requires you to be ahead, if you aren't and they have Lux or Anivia to single-handedly nullify a push even after a lost teamfight, well... ).

But I'm a hater. :<

Hopefully it means the bad Lux's actually die so they don't go 8/2/8 and think they're good when their team is getting smacked around. :D

So, we have a meaningless Morgana change (until Zed and Khazix are brought in line with AP assassins) (also until they work out her Ult bugginess), and a meaningless Corki change (his Q is the problem), combined with a bizarre Udyr change.

I recall reading a redpost somewhere that stated the condemn range buff is to fix an issue where the animation would start up, then cancel over and over. So Vayne did this goofy shuffle at the enemy instead of launching the bolt. It happens when the enemy is skirting the range boundary of the skill.

Lux had some pretty significant changes to here mana costs over the summer that helped her see more play
Base Mana Regen per 5 seconds increased to 6.6 from 5.6
Light Binding
Mana cost reduced to 50/60/70/80/90 from 60/75/90/105/120
Finales Funkeln
Mana cost reduced to 100 at all ranks from 100/150/200

Lux can still do all that, only now she runs only slightly faster than anivia while doing so.

Ult 100 mana is pretty stupid for such a spammable ultimate, as everyone's said already it makes single lane pushing completely impossible and even for splitpushing, well she can just run to the lane that requires clearing during the ulti cooldown. I wouldn't mind her having just this thing if the rest of her kit was mediocre, but she also has an incredible AoE shield(double for herself) and some very powerful spells considering their range and control.

She might still not be op considering how the meta is but she clearly is the best defensive(base-wise) AP champion in the lategame.


Vayne would actually be much stronger if her E didn't have such a gigantic cast time. It would even make harrassing with E-> auto canceling and reactionary E-ing possible. As is, you will E someone near max range and they have the time to walk up to you and hit you before it goes off.

Not to mention a huge loss of autoattack damage. If it worked like cait E so that you could E -> Q back during the startup with Vayne for example, it also would be far smoother.
