I have thought that "assassins" like khazix/elise are a bit broken. Riven can also be a bit overpowered, as with eve, rest are w/e. I'd still take ezreal first pick in 5s over any of those champions.
Assassins are also a lot more stronger in solo queue than in 5s, where you'll find early snowball situations much less likely. In solo queue say one team has xin jungle/khazix mid/elise top, and the other has something like mundo/ahri/shen, one mistake by the latter team during pre lv6 lane phase will most likely cost them the game, whereas even if someone like ahri/shen get fb they have no way of snowballing it. I think Kha and also Elise to some extent do stupid amounts of damage with almost no items. So no matter how early game goes, they are always a threat. Elise is a horrible example - Elise is one of the champions in the game that suffers the most from being behind, but on the other hand she's also THE biggest lane bully. Even if she does suffer from being behind (and I'm not sure I buy that), it doesn't change the fact that her damage is extremely high with little itemization, hence her use as a support in Korea currently. The fact that she can be played support just means she doesn't need a lot of items to be useful, but the thing is that if you fall behind with Elise all you have is essentially your ranged form since if you go melee without any tankiness you'll just die and you also won't have much bonus AP so you don't deal comparable damage to the opposing Irelia/Jax/Riven/w.e. Edit: What I'm saying is that when compared to the fotm of top laners taking a second support role when you're behind is generally worse than how other top laners can perform when behind. The thing with Elise is that if you play her smart you will barely ever fall behind. I honestly believe she doesn't lose a single matchup both top and mid (and wins most of them). How is elise worse off with a disadvantage in lane than a normal top? She has fine stats and gets free armor and MR plus a ranged attack if she feels like it, sustain, and is a nightmare to dive. She last hits under tower excellently with free magic damage too and has free skills to help. I don't even understand your argument. How is it a disadvantage to have free stats and a ranged attack when you are behind? And i'm not even getting into her percent health damage. You say "the thing is that if you fall behind with Elise all you have is essentially your ranged form since if you go melee without any tankiness you'll just die", well great, if you are so far behind you can't fight the other laner you just have to sit back and CS and ranged harass. How is that worse than being like darius or jarvan when you are behind? They can't go toe to toe and they cant CS without walking up and being beaten on, they have straight up less options.
You didn't realize I wasn't talking about laning phase? Elise lanes very well even when behind - afterall she's the best laner in the game. I'm saying that she falls off very hard if she comes out behind in the laning phase and she won't be able to use her full potential later in the game when behind because she won't be tanky enough.

Who is better suited to join the posh club of the elite intelligence of TL than me? I think it would be really sweet, make like a TL TS3 channel with password for us so that we can discuss our brilliant ideas with voices instead of letters, the poor imitation of the noble human tongue.

Also, I really enjoy the new Assasin meta, because Rammus is awesome against assasins. Both the AP ones like Kat and the physical ones like Talon or even Kha'Zix. ALSO the awesome thing about Rammus is the Skarner ultimate 2.0. You can taunt as enemy is flashing and after they flash they'll just run back at you. Whenever that happens I write in all chat "I used to main Skarner" "YOU WON'T TAKE AWAY MY ABUSES" Aren't you abusive enough as a girlfriend already? LOOOOOOOL

They tacked on WAY MORE than that to Corki's W, which was already a longer cooldown, more mana, and doesn't have a built-in way to reduce the CD.

Honestly I think Locket-first is better than Aegis-first in virtually every scenario now (the only advantage of Aegis is the slot-efficiency of the Bulwark upgrade). If you're behind, you need Locket's better self-stats and the fact that it gives all its usefulness immediately before you die (whereas if you die with Aegis, your team loses the aura). If you're ahead, you pass the point where Locket's shield is just better than Aegis aura for gold value.
Locket is just the perfect defensive item right now. It's cost-efficient early game. It's slot-efficient lategame (because of how the shield value grows). It's cheap. It builds smoothly from easy-to-buy parts. It gives high self-stats in several areas desirable to its carriers (not just defensive stats). And it's a team item.

So of course they need to nerf the crap out of her now.
I'm usually a big proponent of Riot balancing purely for the top level of competitive play. Whereby if you're losing to a certain champion or team-comp which isn't a problem at high skill levels, then you just need to get better, without help from the balance team.
With Eve though, specifically in solo queue, her stealth mechanic is strong enough that it requires a team effort to overcome. Anything that forces that level of co-ordination is going to need major trade-offs in other areas. Before these nerfs I don't think Eve had enough compensating weaknesses.
I'm glad to see them making a start to giving Eve meaningful mana costs.
Also, does anyone know if the Eve change to current % health stops her being the best baron stealer in the game? I was never really sure how her ult worked with monsters.

yes obviously, since it's getting changed from max health to current health. Currently her ult caps at 1000dmg vs dragon and Baron which is equivalent to the slightly buffed smite though,
After the patch Eve ult alone will never be the last hit on baron/dragon
