That being said - Poppy can actually 1v3 in a 6 item scenario if you are smart with your ult, but you have to be extremely lucky to take on more than 3 people with her.
Release Xin could 1v5 though. If we are including release champs, add Irelia and J4 to that list. No one played release Irelia until like 2-3 months afterwards, and release Jarvan lol. Fuck that guy. I have nightmares of that guy just sitting in a lane, building 3 HoG, 2 Philo and still doing tons of damage. Then he goes home and buys straight TF.

I think Thresh really brings Jarvan syndrome to supports. That condition where all your abilities have extra things tacked onto them so that you can do tons of different crap with them. Literally the only things he's missing as a support are a steroid for your AD and healing, he has a ton of everything else.

If they're team dives balls deep you go for the AD, if he doesn't you slow someone else and then you focus someone else until the AD gets into W range and then you slow him and hope your whole team jumps him.
A team with a brain isn't going to sit there and leave the ad to 1v1 the Nasus though :/ .

My god that sounds terrifying

Also longer windup so you see it coming, and pulls over 1.5s.
If it doesn't pull through walls then Nautilus' is actually closer to Blitz.

The, attack itself also has a long animation? I am not sure of the word I want to use but it's not as instant as blitz's nor does it pull nearly as far and it doesn't seem to be able to grab people over walls but he could tap it and leap over onto the target as I recall.
To call his pull blitz hook would be a dis service to the ability itself and an insult to blitz from what I've seen of him. I'll be doing some more indepth testing today at somepoint.

Wait GP's used to stack like that (multiple HoG's/Philo's)? Did I read that right? And since when was this happening lol?

Thresh can't pull a target through walls, but he can jump to the target over walls. You can also jump to the target at any time during the pull, and can move about freely while the pull is taking place (similar to Skarner).

If you're referring to the casting animation, the word you're looking for is "windup" (e.g. Thresh's Q has a long windup, making it easy to dodge). If you're talking about the animation where he drags the hooked target towards him, I don't think there's a specific word for that (you might say he reels them in twice, but that's as close as such words come).

So can he pull them if its a small wall/edge like from dragon area>blue buff cliffs or baron pit>behind baron pit?
Its good he can't pull you through walls, but I know there will still be instances where he wins the game for his team with one simple move.
|
I wonder if his E has enough push/pull to move someone through a wall. No PBE account, though.
|
From what i have seen in videos, it probably doesn't. It pushes them by about 1-2m.
|
E is slightly more distance than a Maokai/Rammus Q, so it won't work over walls (except, perhaps, the same walls which Nautilus can go over if your opponent is silly enough to be standing right there).

which leaves your ad free to do whatever he wants, which may include killing your ad which you slowed when they go to focus you, right?

My friend just started playing league. On impulse, he decided to spend $20 on RP and bought some random champs. Being new, he did not know to be more careful with refunds. Also, he did not know about the champion bundles, which I let him know were better deals after he had spent his RP. I told him to contact support as they are usually pretty good with customer service, and tell them about his situation. I figured they would refund him as they would be gaining from the extra $10 he would have to spend, but they just told him "Limited to 3 refunds".
Is there anything I or him can do to contact Riot and see if we can get him the refund on the champs he bought so he can get the champion bundle?

Do what you just said, email support (your friend should from his account) and explain his ignorance. He's an entirely new player and he would like the most bang for his buck in term of champions. Be a little apologetic and polite and hopefully your friend gets the full $20 RP refund and he can use it for a collection's edition champ pack.

I tried to refund something awhile back but the system was done for quite some time. After that it was past the refund limit(Uni makes you forget things ) so I emailed them asking if it was possible to refund and just got told nope. I also emailed during time system was down and got a nope. So best of luck to your friend but he has to be aware of the possibility nothing happens.

Riot has reached game developer puberty and all communication with support will feel like an extended Turing test. Any sort of refund is going to take a lot of patience and diligence.
It's really funny how closely Riot/LoL mirrors Blizzard/WoW in terms of the evolution of communication with the community.
