Still, the amount of foreign talent at a US LoL tournament is pretty impressive.
EU and NA (CLG.EU and m5 excluding) are just so far away from the top Korean teams. Watching the IPL broadcast atm and while the games are really entertaining with tons of kills and Eclypsia's champions, their gameplay seems so so sloppy. Everyone is making way too many mistakes, they seem really undecisive at engaging, pushing advantages, getting objectives. They are miles away from the hivemind teamplay by the Azubus, Najins, TPA (CLG.EU, M5). And the teams, that played in the tournament were at this tournament in Paris, too. So they are representing the very top of the European scene.

The EU scene isn't only CLG.EU and M5, they are just the most visible.

Morgana and Ahri are the only ones that look ok, all the others... meh. Why is Janna entering the battlefield in her pyjamas?

I need to simply play and stop caring about my Elo, to which dodging is antithetical. It's all the better if there's some oddball in the game because then I'll learn to stop worrying and love the Elo bomb. If I spent four hours not playing because of dodges I'd only be hurting my goals.
If you're really set on gaining Elo or loath not playing to the meta/trolls, then dodging makes sense. Aren't you semi-nervous about having to play a ton more matches if you do poorly in placements though? I went 0-2 my first two ranked, despite tryharding and playing well. It frustrated me and I'm a little scared of dropping low in placements, as it means having to grind out 10x the amount of games to get where I started :/
The tryharding you mention is part of the problem I had last season. I got too caught up in playing the right champions, fitting the right role, building the right items etc. and ended up in my own private mental echo chamber. I became afraid to experiment because tryharding brought me to that point, and to stop could have cost me everything*. It's possible to focus on a few champions, even tryhard champions, and improve at the game, but not when you're afraid of your own Elo like I was.
So I'm not nervous because my goals only indirectly relate to Elo. My starting point is my current skill level, and I'm only going to have to climb back up to this point if I allow myself to give in to my egotistical fears and avoid queuing. The more games I play, at whatever Elo, the better.
*Not that anything I considered "everything" at the time really mattered.

Volley has a 4 seconds cooldown and her slow is only 2 seconds.

Xyph started answering questions about Hurricane.
-Pick A Card only applies to first target, so no 3 man stuns -Twitch ult only makes regular attack pierce, secondary bolts from Hurricane are just normal -On Next attack modifiers (Pick A Card, Spinning Axe, Ricochet) only apply to first target -Kog W affects all targets (shit son) -Phage proc "rolls" on each target, so it has a chance to slow all 3 or only 1 -Secondary bolts DO proc Thornmail/Warden's Mail, so be careful
Corki might be the most crazy with this. You already have good AoE, and now your "10% extra damage as true damage" can be applied to 2 more people per shot. Crazy stuff.

Did anyone watch the IEM Cologne Na qualifiers? Crs put up a pretty good fight with roaming Lee and Voyboy on Gragas even though they had to sub in Westrice for Nyjacky. My boys lost in the end though

Volley has a 4 seconds cooldown and her slow is only 2 seconds. And again, if you're at the point where multiple threats that you need to kite are going to stay within 600 range of you, it's very likely going to be a problem that those 2 secondary bolts won't solve. 600 range is more or less engagement range for most melees. You can kite one melee after they blow their gap closer and their initial round of skills and kite their sustained damage. It's not going to happen that way for 2-3 melees--not because you don't have the ability to slow them, but because if 2+ melees are actually capable of engaging on you, 2-3 champion's worth of initial burst will kill you regardless. You won't get to kite anyway.
Ashe's problems generally are not such that kiting multiple things at AA range is actually going to fix her issues.

There's something super-wrong since the last 2 patches, I've been getting FPS lag and disconnects regularly...

My new AD carry build is zerk greaves, 4x doran blades, then hurricane.
gonna destroy people who have like a naked infinity edge at 20 minutes.
after that, all i need is the new black cleaver, a 25 arpen runepage, a last whisper, and a blood thirster. will be the funniest thing ever. edit: because % goes before flat huehuehuehuehuehuehue

Curse has like no game plan at all vs a super late game team comp from Fear, while Fear just rely on Crs's stupid mistake to make it into late game.
Pretty terrible game overall -_-.

Kog'Maw is going to be insane, instead of rushing PD just rush Hurricane and proceed to be a DPS monster from 15 minutes in.

Also about Corki:
Hextech Shrapnel is based off your total attack damage, so it applies 10% of his total attack damage.
10% total AD as true damage on 3 targets, not reduced by half on the secondary targets. New BC + Corki shred + Hurricane + passive = 3 dead people in seconds.

C'mon now, can't blame Crs too much considering they were missing one of their best players in Nyjacky, and had to shuffle around roles quite a bit, playing around with an improvised team comp I doubt they practiced.

Time to start mastering Corki at the rate these changes are going it seems.
