Especially considering SEA and TW get two each. Also really hope CLG.NA makes it. unfair much? i hope the community voices their concerns about it. At most they would have gotten one more spot, in all honesty it's not that big of a deal. If anything the Korean teams need the IPL spot even less since the competition and structure of the pro scene in Korea is better than SEA and TW overall. In the end it's still an NA tournament so it isn't that surprising the NA/EU teams still get a majority of the spots. I love watching the Korean teams too, but if I wanted to watch all Korean games there's always The Championship series.

IPL doesn't need more than one slot for Koreans tbh. Like onlywonderboy said, it's an NA tournament. It's cheaper for IGN to fund more NA teams for an NA event. o_o

The NA teams need money too! :p

well, only one team can win ipl, so they actually only need one korean team.
:p

So both CLG and Dig are qualified for IEM now right? And this final match is just for placing?

:p Blaze still have to deal with M5, TPA, and CLG.EU, it's not an assured victory. But I would bet there are probably 2nd favorite behind TPA.

Somehow whenever I duo queue bot lane, I always get 3 teammates that are pretty flexible and cool to play with. No idea how that works.

I need to simply play and stop caring about my Elo, to which dodging is antithetical. It's all the better if there's some oddball in the game because then I'll learn to stop worrying and love the Elo bomb. If I spent four hours not playing because of dodges I'd only be hurting my goals.
If you're really set on gaining Elo or loath not playing to the meta/trolls, then dodging makes sense. Aren't you semi-nervous about having to play a ton more matches if you do poorly in placements though? I went 0-2 my first two ranked, despite tryharding and playing well. It frustrated me and I'm a little scared of dropping low in placements, as it means having to grind out 10x the amount of games to get where I started :/ The tryharding you mention is part of the problem I had last season. I got too caught up in playing the right champions, fitting the right role, building the right items etc. and ended up in my own private mental echo chamber. I became afraid to experiment because tryharding brought me to that point, and to stop could have cost me everything*. It's possible to focus on a few champions, even tryhard champions, and improve at the game, but not when you're afraid of your own Elo like I was. So I'm not nervous because my goals only indirectly relate to Elo. My starting point is my current skill level, and I'm only going to have to climb back up to this point if I allow myself to give in to my egotistical fears and avoid queuing. The more games I play, at whatever Elo, the better. *Not that anything I considered "everything" at the time really mattered.
Ah, gotcha. Well, best of luck. I'm going to try and have a similar mindset, but focus more on my basics than experimentation.

Yango and I are betting on a 1-2 TPA WE.

You can easily say it's cheaper for IPL to just host qualifiers for a full NA tournament but how interesting would they be when all of them roll over and get stomped by the Troika and we get the same old TSM, CLG, Dig top 3 again.
By contrast we get far greater competition with international teams. TPA is the world champion; WE looks really strong lately, stomping top Korean teams like Najin and KT(?); Azubu Blaze has yet to drop a series to a NA team. I wish China and Korea got a second qualifier so we could have iG and Azubu Frost as well.
From EU we have the legendary M5; Curse EU who just won TotL with a convincing demolition of M5; ATN with the world's highest ELO player and CLG.eu who always plays epic games with their NA counterpart.
I am not familiar enough with the audience of IPL but judging from TL posts there is definitely interest in seeing top quality competition which Asia and EU bring.

But who would you take a qualifier away from then? I'm pretty damn happy with the participants of IPL5 as is. :O

dat yanger es huge WE fan but I don't know if he think WE can top TPA yet. "They need more experience" -Yango speaking of WE. :O They need to solidify that roster first and foremost.
I'm most interested in the EU scene. S2 was all about the M5/CLG.eu story. Will we have a breakout showing from either of the other two EU teams? EC already did rather impressive at TotL.
NA, I'm only excited for CLG.na but even then I think they also need a lot more time. ;_; Alas, a fan can dream...

The biggest issue is the lack of good fulltime pros.

I just want to try Zed out in ranked while my gf is using my xbox to play LFD2(so I cant play Halo right now) and everyone keeps que dodging cause I've never played him before . Me actually trying on Zed can't be that bad.
