There is a big difference between not getting a leash when the jungle and your runes/items are made under the assumption that you will get one vs not getting one when the jungle and your items are designed with that in mind and the other jungler doesn't get one either.

Yeah, but not for the worse either. I think we tend to get all morose about changes for no good reason, if they balance the new jungle around not having a leash (but easier if your team lays down some damage for you), then it'll be fine in the new scenario, especially since it looks like a lot of junglers will be starting Hunter's Machete anyway.

As long as jungle camps spawn the time they do, laners will always be around to basically kill it for you, and give a huge disadvantage to junglers who don't get the same help. The only way they can "fix" that is to have a bigger tradeoff for your laner to stick around, i.e. buffs spawn at 2:00 or later.

Well there are 2 types of trolls. The much more common kind that go into a game looking to win but get upset and troll will probably be less prevalent right now. The rarer type that go into a game looking to make their team lose I would think would be more prevalent.

I kinda dislike the placement matches, because 10 games are a too small sample size. you can either spike over or under your comfortable elo and both cases are bad.
1. you get way lower elo: now you need to play a ton of games to carry yourself up to a comfortable elo.
2. you get way higher elo: you will get raped for the majority of games and get frustrated because everyone is better than you.
in both cases its less fun for you, your teammates and your opponents, which is a worst case scenario when playing a game.
The whole idea of a fresh start and huge spikes in elo is kinda fun but it should last way longer. like 30 games or something. 30 games is still hell of a small sample in a 5on5 teamgame but at least you have some kind of buffer.

In my latest ranked game I knew we were going to lose because Rammus absolutely flipped out when mid accidentally took a wolf. Refused to gank top or mid for the bad leash. There are some negative sides to the leash too... there are few things that make me feel like a game could be lost as a blue reset on a weaker jungler and everyone has left for lane.

i always hate it when junglers go on tilt and say "fine i won't gank your lane then."
i dunno about you guys but when i jungle, i gank when the opportunity opens up, not because someone asks me to. and i do it for myself because i like kills and assists and breaking the enemy's spirit, not because i want to help the lane.
i mean, what else are you gonna do as a jungler? kill more wraiths for 60g? try to gank a lane when you know the opportunity isn't there?

Just got matched with an ignite ghost leona who argued in champ select that hes going top while garen is a support and should go bot. That (unsurprisingly) got dodged tho.

People don't really seem to get that the 10 placement are just hwo long it take for your elo to show up in your profile. You're still getting boosted elo well into 50 games played.
As far as I remember, it works something like this:
+/-45 elo until ~ 15 games
+/-30ish until 20-25
+/-17-20 until 40
and then eventually flattening out at 11-14.

Hey guys, I'd like to crowd source some opinions for my Lux build.
What do you think is better for early game, just in general:
MR blues, get 2 dorans rings and then build big items
OR
AP blues, get 1 dorans ring and a chalice and then build big items
Note that I mean in general, not vs. specific matchups where I might want more MR than usual (like vs. Leblanc)
