Yeah, you want to do QEQW, R>Q>W>E with Xerath. For items, I like boots/3hp => 2 dorans rings => lucidity boots => deathcap => void staff. You can get away with this because of Xerath's range. I like lucidity boots over sorc boots because Xerath already gets a fair amount of spell penetration from his skills and he needs CDR badly. Even so, I don't find Xerath's damage to be that great when compared to other AP champs. He's very underwhelming without his ult. With it he wrecks though, Maximum Magic Damage: 375 / 600 / 825 (+ 180% AP) at 900 to 1300 range and with an initial cooldown of 80 seconds. You can easily abuse an opponent with a longer cooldown, in lane, and snipe people from behind their turret walls when you roam.

ima be maining khazix or elise because they are op nidalee 2 boring lee often banned and vlad can only go 2 roles

Once the new items and jungle roll out and the various items buffs and nerfs go through:
Mid: Anivia going to build tear and catalyst again since Athene's got nerfed fairly hard. I'll probably play a bit more Ahri and other slightly less mana hog mids.
Jungle: generally going to avoid jungle like the plague until the numbers get tweaked more to make it actually worth it. Though I may play some jungle Diana and Noc before then.
Top: Riven and Shyvana. Definitely going to want to try out new Tiamat/Hydra on Shyvana. I'm a bit sad that building tanky Shyvana is going to be more expensive.
Bot: With the new AoE items I think it's time to work on my Varus and Caitlyn again.

Jungle: Skarner, Hecarim, Udyr, Zed Top: Riven, Nunu, Vlad, Jayce, Zed, (maybe Elise once I learn her) Support: Taric, Nunu, Janna, Soraka ADC: Cait, Ezreal, Graves Mid: TF, Vlad, Ryze, Zed, (maybe Elise once I learn her) I feel exactly the opposite. Since my mega-tryharding at the end of Season 2 I feel like my champion pool is super diminished to like 1 for each role. I need to re-learn all my other AP mids and some new ADs. Also completely re-learn every champ top lane because I can't play it at all anymore.

Don't see the appeal of building Tiamat on Shyvana when she already has some of the best AoE farming ability in the game.
Tiamat Q is more or less just a gimmick.

In S3 you're going to want Sorc boots due to the change in penetration mechanics. You'll also be grabbing Guise/Liandry's for similar reasons. Between Arcane Knowledge, Mage Chains, and Void Staff the value of any penetration is multiplied 2.7871 times (whereas in S2 it's reduced to a third of its value).
So the core build for Xerath is likely to be Deathcap + Sorc's + Guise + Void, with other items added after/in-between depending on how quickly the enemy builds MR.

My problem is (well, one of many) that I play so sporadically that I never really have one that I feel super confident in winning on (other than Skarner). I have a couple that I know the feel of the cooldowns and builds easily, but I end up playing random stuff that I'm trying to learn in a ranked game. Frustrating.

Playing Ahri on the pbe I was going oom ridiculously fast with no grail and ooming pretty fast even with blue, something felt really off about it.

Sadly, new Tiamat doesn't work with Shyvana Q anymore, it only goes off once regardless of how many people are hit with Q.

Top: jarvan nunu jax. Jungle: Tiger stance udyr (really really amazing on the new jungle) IVth fiora mid: Viktor (more like Winktor right soniv?) Jarman support: taric blitz jar jar sona Adc: Graves and DAMACIA!
Srs tho I need to find someone who will duo q nami jarvan bot lane so we can form the rock n roll connection. We literally can't lose a single lane and will win s3 ezpz gg no re.
|
My goals champion-wise for s3 will probably be
Top: Fiora, Xin Zhao, Rumble Mid: Xerath, Viktor, Ryze Jungle: Amumu, Khazix, Shyvana, Mundo AD: Varus, Koggles Sup: Leona, Nunu, maybe Nami pending on what she's like on release
|
I got the feeling that poppy is going to be real stronk this coming patch. Definitely going to give her a spin this time round.
|
I find nami IMPOSSIBLE to play. Her CC just feels too unreliable, and so people just jump on me or my ADC, i throw out a W and i or my ADC dies anyway. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I thought I could approach aggressive trading a little like sona but it feels like I need to be closer, and I can't use the heal effectively unless I'm in engagement distance. And fuck, I think I hit 0 Q's during laning.
|
Q is much easier to land if you first hit them with your slow. Also, Nami's W is currently glitched and costs double the listed mana cost.
|
Top: Vlad/Rumble/Xin/Khazix Mid: TF/morde Jungle: Yi, Khazix/Zed/Xin/Diana/Jax/Gangplank AD: Tristana/Cait Support: Lulu, only lulu.
I really just want to play jungle and get back into a position where I feel I am just not downright terrible with the game. I mean I have a fairly good understanding of things as an observer but I don't think I'am a strong enough player in comparisson by a large margin. We'll see what happens as things go out but I am really hoping to have fun with some of the old forgotten junglers and ones who are not ideal in the current jungle.

It sounds like Nami is a little squishy in the lane phase, and better for teamfights later on?
Is this the gist I'm getting?
