Yango is talking about high level competitive league not low level solo que

How is it too early? Did you watch worlds? That is the dominant and most successful farm distribution

I don't know why when I said people don't play melees without CC, people start listing melees that actually have fairly good CC as counterpoints.

Her interrupty, half second CC isn't really the same as something like Nunu's near permaslow, Skarner's AoE permaslow, Lee's slow and knockback, Rumble's slow, or even (I'd argue) Darius's pull/slow combo. Sure, stun>slow, but a half second stun doesn't really stand up to permaslows, especially those that can be applied from range or affect multiple targets.

What do you think about Jax vs. Malph? We had that Jax vs. Malph game and it was pretty close, there were def. some timings where I was stronger despite having weird runes.
Jax can also support ganks way better before 6 which is something we should take into account.

Wukong chunks Malphite really hard for most of laning. You need more than just a Chain vest to go up against him. This is from watching pro streams with Wukong, but maybe they just did some heavy outplaying (post chain vest outplaying. Pre chain vest Wukong just crushes Malphite).+ Show Spoiler +

Riven has a stun and knockup. However small, its still cc. That said, riven isn't exactly top tier in competitive play anyways so its a bad example.

Exactly.

That's pretty much the only way the phrase "I wish X was viable" can be applied. Everything is viable in solo queue regardless.

but then wukongs ult does LOTS of damage probably need to counter ult away

Watching the playoffs it seemed like Shyvana was completely outclassed. She'd be on like wriggles/phage right around when the game was being decided- almost no CC, so when she gets CCed by the enemy jungler, bad stuff goes down when the better farmed mid on the other team smack her in the face.

U do realize that yango is one of the best posters and most knowledgeable on the proscene in this forum right? I mean its fine to disagree but u seem to have some vendetta and like all ur posts are very confrontational

Personally I disagree with yango in that melee need cc to be viable. I think its more an issue of having strong enough midgame damage and/or utility.

I like shyvana top way more than jungle now. Gets the farm she needs to dominate mid game

Tbh its best to ignore most of what vapor says. I dunno if he is an intentional troll or just arrogant but I dont think I've ever seen a good well thought out post from him.
