I read the patchnotes from the interface, so French by default, and it said "the autoattacks buffs/debuffs (...)". So I decide to copy/paste it here to ask clarifications, but then I'd better just take the English version. So I paste it, and suddenly all seems clear in my mind. >_> Stupid French translation. So, does that mean that any buff/debuff will take effect on the "current" autoattack (say you start your animation, Nasus withers you, the rest of the animation will be slowed) or does it apply to stuff like Rengar's Q where you get the bonus when you cast rather than after you've attacked? I think it means your current delay time is instantly changed to the new one, maybe minus the amount you've already been waiting.

I keep getting the client saying the server is busy but when I check the actual server status it says it is online? I've been having that issue for a while now, I just assumed it was my shitty college internet connection.

Yeah, still says server is busy for me as well.
Nvm, just got in.

Graves gets on the list because there are certain ADs that he just completely demolishes in lane, I see him banned when those champs are picked. Sona gets banned quite a bit vs melee heavy teams, because it's really easy to ruin their day with a single ult. Plus, her lane poke is quite strong with certain other champions. They're more situational, but I see them as strong enough in those situations where they can deserve a ban.

I just had to wait a minute and it changed from busy to available. The servers just came back up so there's a lot of people trying to log on.

Sona Ez Blitz Ali Kat Eve Rengar Karthus Jayce Oh and Nunu, fuck that guy.

On the topic of nerfing champs, I'd like to see Shen/Yorick get reworked a bit because of how unfun both of those are.
Eve is just ridiculous atm. Played her for the first time after rework today in ranked because she was left open, lost lane. Didn't matter though, rush in with W, DFG, REQQQQQQQ and they all die. Retardedly strong.
@Alaric: Malph is tough to deal with, certainly. Mostly because if you are an AD he can easily build against it whilst doing good damage (armor scaling E), and the same goes if you pick an AP (huehue Abyssal). It's so tough to win lane against him though due to him able to build gp/10 in lane and still go even in cs/farm. And then if there's a teamfight, he can just bumrush your squishies with his combo. With any decent amount of followup, your carries die. Unless they have the reaction time of a top player to flash out of malph ults 0o
|
It's lacking a Malph there. I still dunno what beats it top btw. I guess sustain+harass type could. I've managed to do it as Wukong but you die way more easily to jungle pressure than him.

The problem with bans right now is there really isn't much choice in your bans. Before you could argue, "Morgana is strong, but maybe not worth a ban, or I really hate playing against x, It's not op, but it is annoying so I'll just ban it."
Now if you look at bans by region it breaks down like this
America Rengar, Shen, Alistar, Blitz, Eve, Jayce, Malph, Ez, Kat, TF EUW Rengar, Shen, Ez, Eve, Jayce, Malphite, Diana, Alistar, Lee, Blitz EUE Shen, Rengar, Malph, Ez, Jayce, Eve, Diana, Ali, Morg, Skarner
So with 6 bans, Shen, Rengar, Jayce, Eve are in the top 6 for each region. Malphite is in the top 7 for each region, Ez and Ali are in the top 8 for each region.
Diana I think is lagging behind in NA, but is subjective enough that she probably falls into the Morg category of really strong, but manageable.
So of the top 8 most common bans, there are 7 champions who fill those slots. You only get 6 bans. One of them is always open. Once you get past that is where you see the Morg, Skarner, and Blitz picks fall. Annoying to deal with, but aren't instant win. Strong, but aren't instant win. You'll probably hate the Blitz on your own team as much as one on the enemy team. Ideally these should be all bans.

Malphite gets beaten by olaf, nidalee, pretty much every ap top including ap rengar and also other stuff like yorick, jayce, shen. As for bans, jayce, rengar and shen are the ones at the top but everyone else you just ban if you wanna play something specific imo.

Intermediate bots now have a chance to use a random skin This is so smart I can't believe it hasn't been implemented before! ikr, advertising skins while playing the game. Pretty sure this was suggested on TL like monthsssss ago. npnpnp In other news, SlayerS (SC2) team is disbanding and apparently SC2 pros, like Coca, Min, Puzzle, have jumped ship and starting LoL (or they've been playing for a while now). Will be interesting to see in the next few weeks/months if any of these former SC2 pros get picked up by a Korean LoL team. Not to kick SC2 while they're down, but having SC2 talent enter the Korean LoL pool is still pretty big news for us. :O
It'll probably take SC2 players who made the switch awhile to catch up to other pros to be honest. Even if they just form their own teams it means five people having to learn the game, then figuring out what role each player is suited for, then probably a few months learning their role (including lane match ups, jungle routes, etc), then they'll have to build team synergy, and then finally they can start actually practicing and coming up with strategies. At any point they could realize that one of them doesn't fit on the team because of their attitude or something or they could realize after someone tried it out that jungle or AD carry is a bad fit for one of their players...
I dunno, this isn't like the BW to SC2 transition where it's just 1v1 so your skills all pretty much transfer over. SC2 pros coming over to LoL will have to spend a lot of time trying to become the best and the games use entirely different skill sets. Obviously if you're good at StarCraft you're gonna be pretty good at LoL but I don't think being a pro StarCraft player means that you can automatically compete with pro LoL players since mechanics are a lot less important than team work and decision making.

I'm honestly kind of sick of gangnam dance. I will probably pass up playing one of my favorite champions for awhile if he gets spammed a ton after the re-work.
I also have a suspicion that Froggen picked up Lee Sin after Zz1tai told him how good it was.

Scarra giving TSM no credit after TSM stomped them in the regional finals is like cheesecake drama compared to Stephano going around fucking 14 year olds or the whole slayers drama haha and people say that LoL community is a drama whore
also Krepo, Ocelote and GosuPepper playing in same solo Q team but losing ggggg

Malphite vs Olaf - Won it, killed him 3 times but I had some ganks. It's really hard to stop olaf from farming, but don't think olaf can stop him easily either (have to dive that olaf constantly because axes farm so well and I don't LOL) Nidalee - dunno, malphite is pretty good vs harass but dunno about the trades here AP tops don't beat malphite at all, you just don't build armour. Have beaten kayle and rumbles if you get 1 good gank (lvl 6 malphite ult vs perma pushers gg) Never played vs ap regnar always banned Yoricks - was fine just farmed vs him and he didn't have nearly enough mana to come close to getting me low
Shen/jayce - fuckers are always banned so dunno how they do aginst malph. Malph is good vs darius too
I've been playing top lane malph recently (used to beast with him in 5's pre nerf) haven't lost any lanes at all yet actually as far as i can remember. So stronk! Nobody played vlad vs me but it's the same as kayle and rumble where if you get ahead your Q E combos wreck them and the speed boost is too much to kite. (kayle uses Q to harass you then you wait for it to go on CD)
I can't see wukong beating malphite because of armour stack but I can't say with certainty.

Froggen wanted to play (and sometimes played in soloQ/meaningless scrims) Lee mid for quite some time, even before Korea.
His team just didn't want him to, because Wickd can't play AP tops, so they'd end up with AD damage only. So I guess he didn't want to "practice" it right before the s2 finals, since he had NO chance of playing it there.

Yea, I've seen Froggen running Lee mid a long time ago as well..

Uh... do you "beat" him by killing/zoning him as Olaf, or just because he can't stop you from farming and you scale well? If Malph gets some armor/hp (say, sunfire or randuin's) isn't his passive quite strong against Olaf's E?
Also I had success as Wukong because I generally play my trades more cleverly than most people at my Elo, so I'd be able to bait his Q or E on my clone, then walk up to him, Q him to reduce his armor (30% reduc from level 1) and bash him with E and some sped-up autos. Clearly against a Malph that wouldn't let me do that or waste his spells on my clone I wouldn't mean, but I don't know if it falls under the "skill match-up" category.

I actualy did not know that Zz1tai played for IG and that he was at the S2. And that he is playing Lee Sin mid. Did he play him at all at the championship becouse I did not watch a single game from IG due to being busy (link plox if you can find it on youtubes ).
Also, TF gets a special sound whenever he stuns Graves with a card. So you might wanna play him anyway. Dont know if its diffrent for each one but Riot doing more of this would be great.
