Not tested since the remake but before it indeed did stop it.

If it's a hard CC (which should stop channels) and it seems that it's still continuing, it's probably just some kind of lag or communication delay. It's a really short channel time now, so getting another tick off due to lag probably isn't unheard of, depending on your ping.

Dont forget her ult lasts alot shorter now and her new W has a similar animation. Maybe you are just confusing the 2 used right after another

The problem with them I have is as follows: if you are on purple side you already have a great incentive not to push, because level 3 gank with double buffs from purple side are so strong. So while it may make purple top lane miss a few creeps very early on, blue top laner is likely to lose much more soon afterwards.
Also as you said, those ganks are specifically strong with Maokai and Amumu, 2 champions who are awful at starting red buff. As such you know for a fact they can't countergank this lvl3 gank from purple side.
What do you mean by "bot has compensation in doubles for the duo lane"? :3
He means double golems. Bottom lane clears them and gets an experience advantage. This is especially powerful if you're running a kill lane, as you'll hit your level 2/3 timing faster.
Alternatively you can just take advantage of the fact that bottom lane is around, have them do enough damage to red that you don't have to Smite, and then you can run straight to blue for a level 3 gank/counter-gank. All of the junglers you cited earlier as mana-intensive are perfectly capable of doing this.
Also, I don't know why people keep lumping Amumu in with the mana-intensive junglers. He was perfectly capable of clearing without blue buff before they reduced the mana cost on his E, it's even easier now. He's only mana-intensive if you ain't nothing but a hound dog, and if you spam bandages.

The duration of her ult went from 4 seconds to 3. The damage is delt MUCH faster now, but I haven't seen any kind of change in terms of the channel. If I get stunned during ult it still stops.
|
I'm pretty sure the damage stops, but the sound and animation seems to continue. Not that Kat's ult was all that important anyways. Her other skills are way more dangerous.
|
Katas ult animation always bugged out for me when the stun came right at the beginning. The animation continues, even if not a single damage tick gets out.

Silences (including lulu's polymorph), stuns, supressions, taunts, forced movement (knockup/knockback), and forced action (fear/taunt/charm), and will stop the channel. Snares (including amumu's ult, which additionally prevents autoattacking but not abilities) Slows, Blinds do not affect it. This is true for all interruptible channels - there are a few channels which are not interruptible, but they are few.

You hit the nail on the head. Curse's laning is fine, it's anything involving more then two of them that tends to go all bottoms up. Communication and improvement on how they act together in a teamfight is what curse needs. When they do they'll be able to do fantastic.
For the record, I don't see Curse making any change ups in players. Mostly because who would they pick up willing to dedicate the practice that Saint obviously wants for the team?

Agreed, I don't exactly see Salce - the member of Evo who really put a damper on practice and scrim schedules - as being a positive change for the team if they're looking to improve. They need team practice, not a "better player."

well, I wouldn't say westrice's laning is fine atm. He desperately needs to expand his champion pool and to simply get better gamesense, which I'm hoping will happen as crs continues developing. I have high hopes for crs's future, just hope they don't fuck it up with too much partying and/or repeat tsm.evo (i had high hopes for them too )
edit: i actually don't think any of their lanes are actually 'fine' atm, all 3 could use substantial increase in champ pool so they have more opportunities to run different compositions with specific goals. I think that would also help their need for team-cohesion as well. Based on their performance in the regionals, Nyjacky seems to rely on morgana, cop corki, and elementz needs blitz/nunu/fiddle for them to really shine.
edit2: that said I do agree that their laning mechanics are fine, and crs's earlygame seems to me to be quite excellent atm.

I'd agree with this. He got zoned or outcs'd pretty routinely. Even with how much top lane depends on jungle ganks, he did poorly almost every game I watched.

Any comments about Rengar?
I've been trying him in unranked games both AD and AP, and I've actually been doing a lot better in lane as AP. I was rather surprised to see that I'm able to bully Jayce and Teemo, and I was able to go even against Riven despite being camped top by Lee. (All in low elo though)
I haven't managed to get Rengar (AD or AP) to work yet past laning, but that's probably just me -- I usually never play assassins (Talon, LB), so I'm not patient enough to wait for a good opportunity to burst down the squishies. I've seen people pull it off regularly at much higher ELO, though, so I haven't given up hope...

yeah that was the problem I thought amumu ult is a stun.

the way I position my hand on the keyboard while playing means that the shift key is in a slightly awkward place for my little finger to press, and I would hazard a guess and say that shift + q, in terms of reaction time, would be roughly double that of just pressing q.

I press Q with my pinky finger, right? So if I press shift at the same time... dindindin
