Also saying that flash makes pillar suck is a pretty dumb statement considering flash makes twisted advance, perhaps the most face roll ganking tool in the game also suck. A burnt flash is a good gank.

The problem with pillar is that it's not universally useful. Sure, if you try to gank a Darius with the pillar it will be good, but you can't expect yourself to succeed a gank against anyone with a gap closer. Twisted advance is pretty much universally useful because of the bind.

Nasus is one of the weakest champions in the game until he reaches a good level of Siphon stacks. Pretty much anyone can bully him. Trundle, on the other hand, is an exceptional duelist from level 1.

Contaminate + Pillar are a pretty good combo for not being kited. Sure he's not Irelia, but he's not exactly easy to kite.

I'd say his main strength is his ability to peel tanks and bruisers off of a carry. 50% resist shred, 45% slow, -20 AD debuff; suddenly that Jax/Malphite/Warwick doesn't seem so scary.

uhhh siphon stacks are the least of your worries and not the reason nasus is weak or strong.

trundle top lane is pointless because he doesn't require or use farm particularly well - like many people have stated, a fed trundle is notorious for his inability to carry. And pillar is pillar is pillar no matter how much or little farm you have. Same with the stealing on Q and his ult.

Are you saying he doesn't scale well? His W does scale with him though, since it's a MS buff and everything.

he is saying trundle dosen;t scale well with items. He scales incredibly well with levels but his Q is his only ability which will scale with items. This leads him to being built full tank but then you can be igored after you ult and pillar.

After looking at Rengar's kit, I've determined that he is Riot solution to top Nunu.

What do we do about a hero that can spam a low-CD point-and-click ranged nuke that also slows, and heal himself? Make a hero that does the same thing, but without mana costs.

After playing Rengar on the PBE, I can tell that he'll be a pubstomper in solo queue. He is just very difficult to play against. I don't know how viable he'll be in competitive play however, only time will tell that! I can say though that he has a pretty strong ability to counter-jungle

it can help you tell if the enemy is mia or not. against people like morg who can just throw down one skill then roam it lets you keep better tabs on them. wards are also super cheap so it's not that big an investment.

on the other hand, if you just ward the river you can not only keep tabs on your opponent if they roam, you can also see the enemy jungler.

In an even lane, you'd have enough vision of the 2 side brushes that it'd be hard to justify the mid lane ward because it's only giving you new information if they leave via the wraith ramp or the path to blue. But if you're maintaining multiple wards (which you have to be--if you're using a ward in mid lane, you still need at least 1 more to cover yourself from ganks, you could just ward both sides.

I think the mid lane ward is more useful if you're getting shoved to your tower constantly, and can't guarantee vision of the 2 side brushes. Then it covers a lot of ground that would be hard to cover without using a large number of other wards.

I've done this occasionally, however I only use this when it's both teams preparing for a team fight and just waiting for the engage, other wise It seems rather pointless, but yes, I use this tactic.

It could also be useful for giving vision of mid when you're not there, either because you're ganking, or because you're taking either side's wraiths.

I'm not sure I've ever really seen/noticed this, as I am bad at this game.
Where exactly are we talking about? Mid lane in the centre just outside of turret vision range?
