With Zyra, they made the mistake of releasing a champion for blatantly OP than darius was on release. I'm imagining that they're scared about doing the same mistake with Diana. With support junglers like nautilus/sejuani, it takes time to figure out if they're strong weak, worth picking up or not but carries can have opinions formed very quickly of them.
On another note though, looking at recent tournament picks, it seems like Sona's coming back as a support and she's seeing much more play in soloQ. Combined with the rise of ezreal, an AD that can take care of himself, the amount of poke bottom lanes with sona nowadays is pretty insane. Taric also has been extremely popular either being picked or banned by everyone since taric/alistar are the two supports that can sustain, kill and protect their AD carries.
Ye, I think a lot of taric's current popularity comes from alistar being perma-ban status.

I am stoked. It seems like a real season with playoffs and everything. I think it is brilliant way to integrate all of the league of legends tournaments/leagues.
Finally, it shows all the naysayers that Riot really does care about eSports.

Confirms saints drunken talk about a 25mil prize pool doesnt it? And everyone knows MOBA players will go where the money is, meaning the scenes gonna get even larger

Especially after MLG, I'm extremely excited for future tournaments. Blaze has created an extremely aggressive, fun to watch competitive meta.

geez that's going to make a lot of players very very wealthy. Hope they don't waste it all like the majority of lottery winners.

They already showcased some high level sponsorships during their Las Vegas show match event.

Why don't they show them then :/

I don't really get why ppl see a problem in darius. I ban him because people complain but I think he isn't a good early pick at all since he has enough bad matchups and doesn't really bring in a ton of utility. He is not scarier than Olaf and similar.

People ban things that are annoying to them and they don't want to deal with, even if they're not OP. Which is why you see Shaco banned all the time, because people don't know how to ward and not push, and why Kass gets banned because people can't shit on him pre-6 and get ahead, despite playing a mid that can hold up to him.

^people should ban graves then, they have no idea what to do :/
