i dont have a problem with opening w over q and my point that the guide was good was more in reference to that guys videos and detailed explanations (the explanations are really better then the videos) of the various combos you can use to maximize your clear then any of the actual build, i guess i could have made that distinction. i thought it was common knowledge that approved guides are not necessarily always great or even good. however, i had tried jungle jayce with my own setup and did poorly, using his i did marginally better, but it was still unsatisfactory. and anyone who blindly copies someone's skill order as listed in a guide is just, well i dont evenknow what to say. thinking for youself is a good skill toi have.

theres no freeversion for irc right? I used to use webirc but I want to use the program, so if i want it past the 30days its 20 bucks? meh.

There are hundreds of IRC clients, for a long time i used for example XChat.
Also, IM programs like pidgin or Trillian can do IRC.

Is the first clear for jayce really that bad? I do wolves -> blue -> wraiths -> red -> golems -> wraiths and lvl 4 by 3:50 and this is of course in single player without any sort of a pull so it's like 30 seconds slower than normal. That doesn't seem that bad, I didn't even optimize it...

Item/Runes/Masteries? How much health were you left with after hitting 4? It's not like, impossible. He's a possible jungler, but I don't see him being a top one unless he can keep up with other current top ones, and that means a good to fast first clear and enough health and CDs to gank with immediately afterwards or during the first clear.

this forum has a lot of people that are convinced they are always right. im not saying seuss is that person on a regular basis as i have nothing against him personally and have actually learned a bit from his posts in the past. however, in this case i felt he was a little too cut and dried. that was my point.
Lol is a complex game that has many different paths to success. saying there is only one way to do things in this game is almost never actually the case, saying there is a best way to do things is also not the case imo. people play differently and what works for one person might not work for another. if LoL was filled with cookie cutter builds like WoW i would have gotten bored long ago, the thing that keeps me coming back is the variety in champs and the ways to build them. when i got malz going ad was not even a thought in my head. but once someone told me his pets scaled on ad and armor pen it, i immediately played my next 40-50 games as ad malz just because it was something interesting to experiment with.
i dont think that anything i do in game is the best way to do something, but i do think what i do is the best way for me to play a particular champ, because often i play normal draft or with my noob brother to try out different builds until i settle on what works for ME and the way i play. i like to play at least 20 games with a champ when i first get it to figure out what works for my playstyle. maybe im the only person in the world that plays a certain champ in a certain way, but if it works for me then great, if it doesnt work for you then thats fine too, we play the game differently.

This is, I think, a superior way to level it to that guide, and here are my reasons.
That said I don't particularally like junglers who need to start cloth 5.
