It's sort of the same thing when they added the indicator sound and visual for when you have tower aggro. Anyone with a reasonable amount of situational awareness is going to realize when they have tower aggro, but the feature was added for those players who don't pay enough attention to the little details. In fact, that change is arguably much more relevant than the Dragon/Baron timer.
Personally I don't like these kinds of "fixes", but I came to accept them from Riot's design paradigm a long time ago.
EDIT: Also, Boots 2 for 250 gold has a hard time competing with Tabi or Zerks.

Same thing everyone said when the announcement about Karthus ult cd change was made, it's good, but it's not the problem.
no, nobody buys boots3, I think that pretty much sums it up. they cost basically the same as lvl2 boots, and everyone takes the stats.

What qualifies a jungler to be good isn't simply that they're passable or decent, they have to excel. Almost every champion in the game can clear the jungle; most can do it "decently." The problem becomes when you're playin competitively why would you pick a "decent" jungler when you can pick something better?

Well, you can always sell it later, and I know for sure as top I'd LOVE to be able to buy boots early, especially for MS, when I'm ahead and want to rush big items >.< Then sell them later for mercs.

Other thing is that Morello has spent three years hyping the plant mage.
I'm excited for her but also know she's going to be popular as balls unless she is stupidly hard to play.

Yeah, I suicide bait as Ryze quite a bit actually. I know that if I get fed/farmed I should just stay alive and deny gold to the other team, but having the entire enemy team towerdive me is too irresistible. I just retreat under tower and mash the shit out of my keyboard. It's hilarious cuz I live about 5 seconds longer and do about a bajillion more damage than they expect, and then my team swoops in and plays janitor. I'm a believer in having a balanced K/A ratio, personally.
Of course, there's always Heimer with Zonya's... that's just trolling though.
EDIT: I'm a little disappoint. I thought Zyra was going to be Kerrigan.

man jayce is so fun.
he is kinda wierd to me. his skills go from doing weak damage to suddenly chunking people when he starts getting his items. its crazy to say he sucks in team fights too. i think thats where he is strongest. you can jump on their carries doing aoe slow and knock them back and stun, doing pretty huge damage. i noticed his cannon q seems to get the sheen proc and it just does massive damage in a relatively large aoe if u shoot it through the gate.
and full comboing someone with all ranged and melee abilities is ridiculous. also getting a killing blow with a gate accelerated q will probably never get old either.
