Whatev, I still think she's going to end up getting nerfed along with Eve's ult after patch.

on supports im not a fan of doran's much. you don't usually have the money to be buying and then selling items like that.
philo is the clear starting choice, and i usually build a kage's and boots after that. kage's i usually leave for a long time as my sole source of ap and just rush wota and merc treads at the same time. my priority is ruby, nmm, cloth. if i back with only ruby, i buy hog (if i have to back, it means the game/my income is sucking, so hog helps). if i back with ruby/ nmm, i make merc treads. randuin is just kind of icing on the cake.

I just recently started playing, and stuck with Fizz. I believe he's the funnest character in the game to use and control, and I cant get away from using him! Im starting to think on buying Ziggs or try something completely different like Trynda or Blitz

If they really wanted to make W exciting they should have made it so that rank 5 seeds summons a Heimerdinger who then summoners Turrets.

You can say "oh you lose dragon control" but you gain extra gold from csing + xp from having to back less so you get stronger that way.
Hog is the only item that is like "oh don't buy this because you lose dragon control" but most people who auto buy this are junglers who are underfarmed enough as it is and supports which it's debateable on. The question isn't really whether to get philo or not - since it's cost-effective as it is - the question is whether to philo -> hog or philo -> shurelyas. What about philo -> 1-2 drings -> kindlegem -> reverie? I could imagine it being ok on some supports, but the ap is really meh. It's a waste imo. You should easily have enough MP5 with Philo, and the cost effectiveness of just AP and HP on DRing isn't all that great anymore. CDR is very strong on pretty much all supports, so I see no reason to delay Kindlegem for DRings.
So you'd just rush a reverie and go aegis/zekes?

1 month ago I also picked up Fizz becaus ehe looked fun and he proceeded to be my most played Champion Ranked, though when you have played him alot the traditional ranged AP outscales him hard and is much more versatile for the lategame imo. Pretty fun to Ult and tower dive a squishy Karthus though Pole away the moment hes using his ult and typing in chat: NOPE.

You're helping your team more, and HoG wasn't doing that in the first place since you never got Randuin's until endgame if that. It was always for the meager gold income and the defensive stats.
Yes, Locket from HoG, but I still don't like it all that much. I build it every so often, but the shield is so pitiful with it's scaling, and the health/5 is just very underwhelming most of the time.

yeah but how much are you actually getting out of it? it's cool I guess if I can spam tornados and shield when I don't have to but I don't really want to spend money so I can do that.

Which happens to also build from Kindlegem. It also depends on my team, I'd build whichever of these items my allies don't want to get.

Very few people get Zeke's aside from support anyway.
I always got Zeke's just because guides recommend it, but it's rather nice, isn't it? The aura anyway, you don't really need lifesteal/AS except maybe on Taric. I could myself rushing it to help snowball my lane opponent, especially if you're a support or have an AD with an AS buff or debuff like Nunu, MF, Ez, or Trist.
|
As long as you have a ranged AD, the whole plan for lategame is to raise the ADs stats as much as possible because of multiplicative scaling. Add some CDR and defense on your utility champs to protect the AD (and have a burst caster to burst the enemy burst caster or ranged AD lol). Zeke's does all that pretty damn nicely.

Dunno if anyone posted it on here, but the Eve spotlight went up today. Nothing you haven't seen if you're on the PBE, but it's on Reddit. Phreak builds TF out of the jungle and does tons of damage, news at 11.

I wonder if Zyra isn't coming out in this patch. It would certainly make sense given that this patch preview was called "Mid July patch preview" and not "Zyra patch preview". It would also help them stagger their content release as they have preferred in the past rather than bombarding their player base with what will essentially be 4 new champions in one patch.

On July 17 2012 18:12 Lmui wrote: Alright new TF discussion topic since I think we've exhausted lichbane/dcap at least in my eyes. Essentially, get AP before getting lichbane. Dorans + kages -> dcap -> dfg? I've seen froggen do this a few times on his stream and found it rather interesting. It gives 2 big nukes in dfg+wild cards and two smaller ones in his pick a card and E proc. It also happens to give cdr which is so nice to have on TF. The main thing I see from it is that the accumulated gold from the kages means that dfg+sheen is pretty much the same price as a lichbane. I haven't gotten a chance to try it yet in anything but dominion/ARAM but froggen made it seem stupidly broken. Regi's TF is way better, Gp10 items
boots->philo->hog->kage's->dcap->lich-> etc etc.
I like going the 3 gp10, into sheen+dcap, then dfg, then lichbane.

Just stick with your ad carry until you find a chance to jump on any of their squishies. You'll easily burst down any squishy and after that you just have to beat the crap out of anyone else. So much sustained damage even after bursting the hell out of someone lol.
