I miss the time when heros weren't designed with a clean-cut role that perfectly fits the existing metagame, and the time when you could actually build hybrid on some champions and do well. This new trend of AD ratios and of low ratio supports killed a lot of the creativity in builds IMO.

Ever sinced they introduced ARAM map thats all I play nowadays.
Whats the point going into semi serious games when all I do is rage as horrible teammates that are forced upon me and then having my rank effected by it.
Best thing they have done in awhile.

Call me a dick, but honestly tournaments like that are bound to fail. You cannot prevent high elo players from smurfing or playing on a friend's account. I have been on both ends of it and It's stupid. The honour system doesn't work either, especially when prizes are involved.

The way its setup (must have 400 games total, never been above 1700) makes it fairly hard, although definitely possible. there's prize for top 4 anyways so who knows, might as well give it a shot. And its mostly for fun anyways.

I'm just excited to play with some guys from TL tbh. Chance to kick back and play some arranged with some other guys who are not bad. If we get stomped, oh well, the prize is just a bonus for me.

Poppy. What is the deal with Poppy? Very seriously, should you be going AP or AD poppy? Ever since I got her, I have been going AP because I saw her ratios and just assumed that's what she would do. After quite a few games I began to perfect a build and used it great success, Philo, Kages into DFG, Lich Bane, tank items, and everything was going great. Then recently, once people see my build, they start calling me a troll and blaming everything on me, saying AP poppy is a troll build and you need Tfore and IE.
I tried that a couple of games and it felt awful and really lackluster in power, and I really couldn't fathom why an IE was necessary because she shouldn't really be AAing. So I kept going with my AP poppy and would destroy, but my team will say in all chat "report this poppy for AP" even though I was 8/2/13....
So really, AP or AD? And what should I be building and more importantly why?

I've played like 20 games of it in the past week, and I've seen a lot of people rage in those games too. Only difference is a lot of people generally only play it for fun, so there are a lot fewer people in general who get ragey.

AD is better imo. AP is all about burst, while AD is better sustained damage, but you still have the power to burst squishies down. Go Triforce->Gunblade->tanky. Only get IE if you're ahead. Build either phage or sheen first; phage for more chasing power and sheen for more damage.

Question, how do you get that sustained damage? Do you sit there attacking? I just run in on their AD, ult, ignite, DFG, E then Q and they are dead. But then I usually have to gtfo. How do you dive them and do that sustained damage?

You build tanky. It's similar to jax where you build a triforce + gunblade while everything else is geared towards living longer. Poppy actually has it better due to her ultimate which allows you to go into the middle of a team and ignore all but one person and her passive which makes her deceptively tanky.

Ult on someone with crappy spells, go kill other things with your 6 seconds of complete invulnerability. Once you have gunblade and some tanky items take damage for a bit -> ult when you're scared -> sustain to full during ult duration.

Yep, this. Poppy is naturally super tanky due to her passive. Then you add on her ult and it's incredibly easy for her to just sit there and attack stuff. If you need to kill a target asap then ult that target, but if you just need to deal sustained damage, then ult the target with the least amount of cc/damage.
