I'm leaning towards him being a solo top champ with solid poke, but I haven't played him on PBE so... He looks like a top. The lack of permanent range and short range with no quick gap closer hurts kayle a lot.

Is there any way to set smartcast on some spells on a per-champ basis? Or do you have to tweak them manually each game if you want to mix and match smartcast with non-smartcast? Because I think in that case I'll stick to not using smartcast at all (way too lazy to tweak hotkeys each game).

Just build Triforce and jungle like Phreak, tons of damage!

Okay, just tried the smartcast w/ indicators, and it really threw me off. Activating abilities on-release felt no faster than normal casting. Plus having to make sure the mouse was over the target on release caused me to target minions more often than I'd like. Imma just stick with smartcasting most and normalcasting some.

You could always have several ini files for each champion and replace the main ini file before each game. A crude method for sure, but it does work. Other than that, no, there's isn't an automated process.

Thinking maybe a tray-app with a menu list of the champs and clicking on one sets a custom .ini for that champ. Should be simple enough to do.

Hmm yeah it should be pretty simple, then you just need to give it a GUI and start selling it for 5 bucks :3 I'm sure people would have an use for it.
Also, would Elobuff be worth it? It costs quite a bit but on the other hand it seems really interesting.
That is, would it help me in improving myself in practice instead of just being an interesting "Oh I didn't know that, that's cool" kind of a tool

I'm not too interested by numbers and I'm loving it. I don't know if it'll help you improve but you can use it to pick up OP sleeper heroes ^_^

It'll definitely help you gain Elo. Really helped me notice how much better I play when I pick certain heroes and dodge certain players *cough vman cough*
edit: How does this Summoner Win Chance under Summoner Trends on Elobuff work? I'm at 68% chance to win games my last 4 games lol. Does it compare my stats on a hero with my and the enemy team's composition?

If you are willing to have a few really confusing games to learn this, you could use shift + qwer to smartcast. I find it kinda funny no other players seem to use shift but I couldn't live without it.

"Hey can you please cc the enemy for 3 seconds so I can walk into the middle of the lane before I press any buttons?" "Sure bro" ♥ I feel like this is a big part of why he's a decent character to play as support. also that dark wind. preventing the enemy from flashing out for 4.2+ seconds is pretty powerful with a jungler and a carry there. You can flash after the initial fear because of the new mechanics, even if dark wind silences them with perfect timing Unless Fiddle silences you immediately before the fear wears off, in which case you won't flash away until after the silence ends. You will actually. That's my point. That's not how the new mechanics work. If there's a gap in a CC-chain then you will automatically Flash out, but if the CCs are seamless, landing the instant before the previous CC ends, there's no gap to exploit so you won't Flash until the CC-chain ends. The wording on the change was certainly weird, but if it worked as you described Naut's infuriating hook -> root combo would be impossible against many champions when it's clearly not. You flash out even if the CC is seamless. Again, that's my point. (Unless they hotfixed that the last patch)
I am absolutely certain it doesn't work that way, because if it were so (and I repeat myself) Nautilus wouldn't be considered a strong ganker. All of his ridiculous CC combos fundamentally wouldn't work, not just against Flash but against any blink ability.
That said, I promise to verify how it actually works when I have the chance. Because I'm on vacation I'm not in a position to now, but I will tomorrow evening.

It's worked the way you described in the past, but either Draven or Darius patch broke it (spinesheath was complaining about it after testing it). It is possible that they hotfixed it, but Flash has been screwy with CC chains for a little while now.

Although it may not have been intended, flashing out of chained control spells certainly happened when this delayed cast system was first introduced. As Shikyo says, it may have been patched since then.

Does anyone else find it hilarious by the way that there's like 1000 posts complaining about Jayce's bad lore on the LoL forums?

What's wrong with the lore?
