Speaking of which hows this for Anivia: Sorc Boots> Chalice> Deathcap> Anthene's> Void Staff> Hourglass...... She seems really really mana intensive so Chalice seems good assuming you don't constantly have blue on you. Plus its nice you can uppgrade it into something nice now. WoTa doesn't seem right on her, and most games end before or during when I get hourglass. Maybe a DFG is good on her? She's insanely mana hungry so as far as I know Tear and Cata were pretty much core on her, but now with Athene's existing I'm nto so sure. You'd probably want Cata anyway though if anything just for the insane stats after upgrading to RoA.

Make banlings happy, use the right champion thread!
Also she's pretty much the slowest champion in the game. =P
Edit: After logging into dota I found two little things I want to get from Riot.
1)
We’ve recently taken action against one or more players you’ve previously reported for bad conduct. Thanks for your help in making the Dota 2 community a friendlier place.
C'mon, that message just feels GOOD. Hell, I wanna see that feature on TL as well - "You're reports got 4 people banned and 10 people warned this week, carry on!" =SS
2) A feature to "commend" people. No one even knows what it will do yet. But it's cool to get commended if you played well/did something awesome/were a nice guy. It's also way cooler than not getting reported. I really think that feature creates communication just because of how silly our brains work sometimes. =S
PS: If you q-dodge, get reported a lot but not banned etc. what Valve does with those people is... they all get their own seperate queue. No one wants to be there. Long waiting times and you're in the same basket as people who will flame and rage at you. Another incentive to be a good boy. =D

I have watched both of these peoples streams and I learn a lot from them. I really enjoy streamers that analyze and discuss the game like TOO and Scarra and learn almost nothing from streamers who don't talk at all. So I think this begs the question, who do you think are the best streamers to learn from for each role?
I'll start:
Jungle: TheOddOne AP Mid: Scarra Top Lane: GuardsmanBob (I watched some of his stuff and he talks a lot) Support: ??? AD Carry: ???
AD carry and support are my most commonly played roles, and I would love to know who I should watch to learn the most.

For top just watch Smash play. While I love GManbob as a streamer because he's entertaining I wouldn't call him educational.

Rather watch Dyrus or even Wickd of Gbob top though.

I wouldn't really call Guardsman Bob a Top Laner anyway. I'd say he plays the roles somewhat evenly. I watch SmashGizmo and WingsofDeathX for Top Laners.

I haven't come across any other forum yet that has high level discussion like this subforum on TL, I mean whats more interesting than talking about AD vs Arpen or gp5 items here than anywhere else? :p

Dunno, maybe its just me, but I find TheOddOne too disturbing to listen to after 3 minutes. For jungle go with Snoopeh or Saintvicious (he can be disturbing at times as well). Mid: best choice, scarra is freaking amazing Top: Wickd. By miles. He constantly talks about matchups, when to push, when to back, when to trade and he plays every popular top champs Support: Nhat is nice, he duos a lot with Aphromoo, who is hilarious and is the AD carry of TSM.evo. Krepo is nice as well, but he plays all the stuff, not support only. AD: Aphromoo. Guy is hilarious. You can watch Guardsman Bob as well, he got some pretty good AD's in ezreal and graves. Also his WW is stronk.

Greetings napoleono,
Great news! A player you reported for bad behavior in a game of League of Legends was disciplined by your peers in the Tribunal. While we won't get into specifics, we did want to let you know that by using the report system and the Tribunal, you helped make the League of Legends community a better place to play.

Win games! You jungle teemo and lvl2 gank every lane and be a giant dick? Never knew. I've seen a few teemos that just hide in a lane or at blue and try to steal stuff. I think one teemo let the enemy team have my blue and just stayed on the enemy blue, wasting time. I hated that teemo. The other teemos hide mid/top to do suprise level 1 ganks. I don't recall how they turned out. Teemos are also just as big of dicks as twitches are late game, especially with their stupid mushrooms.
Smash, do you really think there's no place for the bruiser any more? Because a lot of the same things about scaling can be said about AP's and tanks as well. Tanks can be ignored, and AP's often buy mana, mana regen, and CDR and other items that don't scale nearly as well as IE PD do. An AD can probably quadruple their DPS for the same cost that an AP would need to double it.
I play a lot of kayle top, but I also play jax when I feel like it/kayle is picked and the enemy top seems like someone I can abuse as jax. I find jax is easier to snowball with, and even though he doesn't have the dps of a carry, his burst is decent enough, and his moveset good enough, that he can probably 1v1 most carries at any stage of the game with no other interference.
Some people do have videos of AD carries fighting bruisers like Draven vs Darius where Darius just kicks Draven's ass. And I find that games usually end or are decided in my solo queue games before IE and PD. Of course I have no qualms with Cait top.

Last time is watched Voyboy's stream he talked a lot. I barely understood since the sound was bad but voyboy is good.

On June 26 2012 07:02 YouGotNothin wrote: Alright thanks for the advice, so next question: is there anything for LoL like a Day9 Daily is for SC2? Day9 really helped me improve my SC2 skill with deep analysis and strategy/tactics discussion. I checked out this guy WinRaR who does a show Game of Throwns in which he analyzed CLG.EU vs M5 games but most of his analysis was of picks and he only spent about 3 minutes analyzing the actual gameplay.
If you can't tell I am kind of stuck at my current LoL skill level and am looking for ways to get better beyond just playing.
There isn't a lot of deep analysis being done in LoL because it is comparatively less effective than simple experience. What sets most professional players apart isn't the ability to critically analyze the game, but the ability to play a ton of games and make a little bit of progress every time. You'll actually see top players make extremely dubious itemization/rune/skill choices fairly often when trying new champions or roles (e.g. Hotshot and Doran's Shields in the jungle, TheOddOne and maxing E first on Hecarim) not because they're dumb or bad at the game, but because they learn by doing.
There is room for a Day9-like analysis of LoL, but right now there aren't many players who have the chops to do it. Day9 combines charisma, mathematical acumen, and in-depth knowledge to make his dailies so fantastic. The top LoL players today only bring two of those to the table at best.
It also doesn't help that we're still waiting for replays, but ultimately even if there were I can't think of any players who have the ability to sit down and put a lens on the fundamentals and subtleties of the game in an interesting way like Day9. It's a lot more work than people realize, which is why every LoL Day9 wannabe so far has crashed and burned.
Edit: It's also really really hard to carry a conversation with no one for an extended period of time, especially if you're trying to concentrate on something else.

Aphro's funny but he can be too overzealous for my ears at times. Voyboy talks but he doesn't speak up enough for us to hear, so muffled
|
Yeah, Voyboy is good too, but he needs his sound issues fixed.
|
I'm gonna go ahead and say if Draven is fighting a bruiser 1v1, without red buff, and if the bruiser has any sort of gap closer that draven loses bad, that guy goes all in every time he chooses to auto attack. now ezreal.... that poor poor bruiser. corki? same. ashe? same.
|
For the love of god do not learn from Nhat's stream. He and Aphro do so many suicidal things in lane just to find out if they can. No, Nunu/Ezreal can not double kill Janna/Graves at level 2, thats just Nhat and Aphro vs a solo-queue lane. That and he never buys many wards in solo-queue.
Watching Xpecial on support is cool but he only plays AP mid in solo-queue so its hard to catch him at it. Krepo is similar and also rages way too hard for my liking. Chauster and GosuPepper troll every game. I remember Curse's support was great to watch but I can't remember his name now.

More like you can lane him vs similar stuff teemo counters. Twitch has a slow, Teemo has a ms boost. Twitch has invis, Teemo has blind. In truth, they are the same champions, riot just inversed their skills and made one of the two rats cute. True story.
