I mean honestly, we already got a free Skin/Champ for pressing the like button in the first place qq. Everyone ignored my rant on this earlier, but yes, yes I am ashamed. What TLers did that? I haven't heard anything like that from anyone, and 34% sounds good, especially coupled with an ip boost. No TLers did, I think he (the guy I replied to) meant the LoL community in general.
Anyway, just tried out Draven....catching those axes is really awkward. I can see this as being either hit or miss. If it's possible to keep catching those things as you chase someone down/reposition (not likely....the angle at which they come back to you seems kinda random sometimes) then he'll be really good. If not he might be a little lacklustre. No burst damage really to speak of aside from E/R (they don't hit that hard) but his sustained damage has the potential of being massive if you can keep the steroid up, though eventually you will run out of mana trying to do that.

I almost ran a red light on my driving test and still got my license huehue I turned down the wrong road(well almost) when i took mine a while back, usually unless youre absolutely awful at driving they'll give it to you for a small mistake. Or if the instructor is a dick and just wants to bust your balls

Not sure if will play him top anymore. i'm pretty sure you're being sarcastic but in case you weren't but that's a cosmetic nerf. jax's main strength comes at 6 when he can auto a creep, auto a creep, hit W and Q and burst the enemy laner for 500 free damage from the WQ and R proc all lining up at the same time, then press E to avoid all damage on his way out or commit with his charged-up AS. yeah, he's gonna be a bit weaker in the auto-W combo pre-6, but it's not going to hurt him significantly at all it won't really hurt his jungle either hopefully it'll make people underestimate/stop banning him though I was more concerned with his sustained damage since I feel like half of that comes from his W and R, but then again, it's uncommon for people to want to fight jax in sustained fights. Maybe more than half of it comes from his abilities when he is chasing.

I think the main problem people had was not hat 34% was not enough but there was a preexisting notion that the community was going to get double XP. From what I gathered a guy posted a pic that was supposed proof that Riot promised double XP. This pic blew up and people thought Riot had promised double XP when they had not. Naturally, people do not like being lied to so they caused an uproar. This is what I got out of reading the reddit/official forum thread. Really shitty situation for Riot, a couple of asshats decided they needed their double XP.
I don't know if what I said is 100% accurate but that is what I got out of it.

I was so happy about the 34% IP boost. I can't believe people were scorning Riot over it. It's a reward for basically doing nothing, how can you complain?!? wtf?

Same. It's not like it's going to affect my playing at all, just gonna give me more for it.
And now we actually get double. I really don't think riot should have caved on this one.

Everything turned out better than expected though. Weekend of gaming here i come.

Ha, they changed the Galio nerf to come out after his legendary skin had been released.
Gutted about the nerf to AP Kog'maw though.

It can be awkward, but not as much as you might think. The axes go in the direction you're running when they hit your target, which means you have a lot of control over where the axes land. It's ridiculously easy to catch them if you chase or run in a straight line, and with practice you can get them to go where you need to run.
This mechanic will probably be too much for many players, but thinking about what pro AD players will do with it is frightening.
|
The idea of a skill based ad carry that can do much more then right click, now that is frightening. I look forward to trying him out. If only due to my love of axes.

Damn that Swain buff! I just picked him back up and now he's going to getpopular/more well-known/perhaps even banned? That would so piss me off. I want a way to fight off AP/ranged top/champs designed to annoy all-melee, and I don't know to learn Rumble, Kennen or Vlad. Leave me and my Swain alone~
In all seriousness, I like the increase in aa range, as I tended to get harassed a lot mid whenever I tried to last hit because of that, and the decrease in ult's cd, it should allow for switching your ult on/off during a same fight more easily, esp. if you get some cdr. Q's increased slow shouldn't be that noticeable in lane, since you only max it 2nd. What strikes me is the range increase: allows him to fight mages more easily, but with the additional headstart even champs like Volibear and Udyr may have a lot of trouble catching him now.
I don't like the splash art for Draven, the personality it conveys appeals much less to me than the picture for his sneak peek (his half of the Blood Brothers wallpaper), but from videos I looked at his animations and swag appear pretty neat, I like it. Was curious about the way his Q landing would be shown too, it looks much easier than I'd have thought with th big marker. Damn. I suck ass at playing AD carries and I think now I could be tempted to day1 buy.

Nooooooooooo they're nerfing Ahri. That's so dumb considering they're releasing a new skin forh er.

Buff to spirit rush , nerf to fox fire -> evens out in 1 combo

So the Ahri change is going to weaken her earlier on, then buff her in the late game?
|
Apparently it's aimed at abyssal rush Ahri? Weaken her base damage so the MR reduc has less impact before you can more AP.

it also nerfs the semi-tanky AP build, which takes advantage of (relatively) high base damages via stacking penetration and simply being able to survive long enough to cast a ton of spells as opposed to the traditional dcap rush, which aims at getting off fewer rotations of spells that do tons of damage via ratios.

Wow, a double IP boost weekend. I was so happy that it was already 34%. Feel sorry for Riot after the cute little gif* they made for it too.
Edit: typo
