And so I would delay my tri force a bit just so that I have higher hp to join the 5v5 fights and dealing the true damage, hoping for the slow, and stunning/slowing the right ones. (and damn, can't wait to try out the spec mode!) I'm not a huge fan of gp5 on irelia, unless its a complete freefarm lane like cho or nasus (you really can't do anything about these two guys). I'd suggest getting a fast wriggles for a hard physical damage lane, wits for a hard magic damage lane, or phage for an easy lane. | ||

They nerfed his mana ratios on Q,W by 1 and 0.5 % respectively and gave one to the E of 1% total nerf of 0.5% of max mana given about 4K mana that's 20 damage lost per combo/cycle/rotation given each spell being used once. But Q is used twice typically. 1% of 4K is 40 plus the 20 so its a total of 60 damage lost from his mana ratios. However they buffed the base damage by a flat 20 canceling out the mana ratio of Q nerf. They also increased the AP ratios to 0.4 from 0.2. Assuming not at the AA stage of a normal ryze build you'll have 80 ap from wota unless you have a void staff 80 X 0.2= 16 Q is used twice so 32 extra damage. Ryze's damage isn't really going down not up either but not down. Riot dropped the range on Q by 50 and they dropped the snare duration by 0.25s. These are nerfs but the new ult gives movespeed which is very useful on ryze for chasing catching etc instead of flash W it'll be RW. I reckon these will about cancel out but I don't know for sure. The other changes are some mana cost reductions, E bounce range increase and AI changes and no ult mana I don't think these will do that much. | ||

It feels like a pretty substantial nerf, at least to what Ryze currently does best. Maybe his builds can change a bit and it will be fine (i.e building RoA and Archangels earlier), but I'm not capable of theorycrafting that right now. | ||
