But if I got to play Soraka with her stats/abilities from a year ago, ahaha, probably would feel very, very OP. Overall, I think Supports are ok atm, despite Riot's constant nerf pokes at them. | ||

Almost every support is vicious in teamfights... that's where the power level issue comes in... their base power is too high... | ||

Sadly people realized how strong Sona was after a while, so I couldn't singlehandedly carry games with her anymore. Because she was banned. It was fun while it lasted. This was also around the time of the Locket on everyone craze by the way. However, this was not 2 years ago. Sona was released sometime fall 2010 or so. If I'm not mistaken, that's less than 2 years ago. | ||

MY HOW TIME FLIES. Actually that makes sense I stopped near the end of first sem of grad school... Edit: It took a while for people to catch on to Soraka though... I was single-handedly carrying games with her at end of S1 ._. even with this subforum going NOEZ SHE SUX NOW SHE GOT NERFED. | ||

No, they're unpopular because they don't get to cs and don't do a lot of damage. They are hugely influential. If supports needed buffs you wouldn't see supports being played. | ||

I actually asked this question ~6 months ago becaues it seemed to me that each point of mpen increases your damage more than each point of ap. I think the simplest answer was basically a) no one bothered to actually do the math to figure it out and b) the thing about mpen is that you basically depend on getting as close as you can to 0. If you go over, you waste slots. If you go way under, well, you just look stupid once you get void. Whereas ap is always good. | ||
