It's the same with tournaments as it is with solo q. Janna is ridonkulously strong but teams/players don't feel like using a ban on her.

CLGeu force the janna ban if they dont have firstpick, just to mess with the enemy standard botlanes. Since top and mid are so strong(K) , they can take that ban for janna like a baws

It really feels like Riot are really really reactive when it comes to their balancing. Particularly after a major tournament (IPL4 Sup!) the only thing missing was a Kogmaw nerf, and I'd imagine theres probably one coming his way next patch anyway.

Yes it was powerful, but why shouldn't supports have powerful active abilities? Make Sonas R wider/larger and let them dance longer, make Sorakas R heal more and slap the same armor buff on top as on her w and so on... These abilities should matter and they should also be relevant end-game. ATM the most work as a support happens in the early laning phase in my opinion as the game goes on, you have less and less influence...
Don't take the proposed "changes" serious. Just trying to get a point across. I want playing support to feel more active. That would be the most hilarious shit ever if that happened

Is getting dblades on some jungles still gonna be worth it?

Dunno, we'll see.
For APs, I can imagine Catalyst is going to become popular again. It's slightly more difficult for ADs. Phage seems fairly decent, especially on champions like Ez and Corki. But for your traditional ADs, Phage doesn't build into anything worthwhile.

depends on ap, I mean you buy the Rings because they are so well rounded, but to me if the mp5 is the same I still want them.
before this patch I only built RoA on manahog champs like Kog and post-blue nerf Ziggs, so I usually stack it with AA, mainly because when you have both of these items the mana>AP bonus is quite high, perhaps if I ever built RoA on it's own I wouldn't hate the item so much but as it stands I find it one of the most annoying items to build.
On the flip side, you do feel incredibly powerful the moment Tear+RoA are done, it just feels like you are sacking your advantage in the meantime (which you kinda are)
lastly I'm not sure how I feel about the rune page changes as a Fizz player, not to say unwarranted or anything like that but I'm just saying for him specifically I'm not so sure it's a buff. At first glance everyone is going to say this is a buff for burst mages which it is, but I feel like it is only a buff for ranged burst mages, time will tell but my intuition tells me this will just exaggerate his already strong presence vs. skillshots and weakness to targeted spells.

I'm kind of interested in trying a full magic penetration build for some early game snowballers like Leblanc. What with the buffs to magic pen and the nerfs to early game magic resist it seems like a slightly more viable option.

Damn, the 2 drings into Dcaps seem much less viable now. How about the runes nerf? We have to wait and see how it affect gameplay. I myself welcome the janna nerf though, shes too strong atm but I am sure shes still super viable after the nerf. Her kits are just awesome no matter how much you nerf her.
Wit's end still very good since the increase in price is just a minor one, Atma may be less viable now, go Tri-force!!!

Wow I just read on lolwiki that stacking Phages will multiplicatively increase your slow chance!
Cutlass is starting to look good, too. Especially if you have to back around 1000-1500 gold, and don't want to get IE first but rather some AD and then PD. Enemies will come into range for the active anyways, you just can't use the slow to hunt people down.

minions can dodge as well for no reason.

Dude you lose 40 hp. Thats not even half an auto attack. Thats not even third of a nuke. If you rely on those 40 hp to keep you constantly alive and to constantly not die, you do something wrong. People need to stop overdramatizing stuff.
Also, how does everyone feel on scaling MR glyphs now? Or go back to glass cannon and put scaling AP there? I just can't forget about what Chauster said, throwing away 9 glyph slots for not even 30 AP which don't even do anything in the mid and lategame. He said it would be much smarter to put some utility there which is hard to get otherwise. I was thinking of running mana reg there for a while together with scaling hp seals to offset the higher damage from harassment...

big nerf to my gp ;/, considering it was pretty situational pick even before atmas nerf that change makes me mad ( plus i will not even bother playing garen now), fu riot

Supports are still 10x stronger than aps and such. There's a reason they are nerfing them. I don't know what you mean by stronger in this context? They win mid against normal APs? Their influence late game is larger?
Some of them can go mid and be fairly successful, but they are not 10x stronger, otherwise we would see them all the time mid. Can't remember ever seen Taric/Sona mid in a serious game. And even Janna/Soraka do not outright win every time they go mid. They also are unusual which gives an advantage to them, because the player facing will be less experienced in the various matchups, than the player using them.
Influence in the game overall is hard to quantify so I don't think stronger fits here. I'm not saying supports are not important. I just would like their role to be more prominent by having active abilities that can swing team fights.

Pretty bland patch, but hey there's an Orianna buff.

Dude you lose ~2.5 MR. That's like 20 EHP. That's not even quarter an autoattack. That's not even a sixth of a nuke. If you rely on those 2.5 MR to keep you constantly alive and to constantly not die, you are doing something wrong. People need to stop overdramatizing stuff.
Had to do it. There is just as much of a reason to reevaluate the viability of Doran's as there is a reason to reevaluate the viability of flat MR.
