Ill have ~220 ad with triforce and 2 pd. add a last whisper for your fifth item and you melt people. if by this point they are targeting you get a bt. his early game damage is shit and his cc is weak, so i choose to farm. getting philo and hog is good sustain in the jungle and gp5 makes the build work. once u get merc treads and sheen you can kill people with a bit of help from the laner. but until that point i dont think he is a threat at all to do anything. his first clear is painfully slow. he's a lot like sejuani in that way. but the clears speed up everytime through. sure im 1k elo and will only gank if im reasonably sure i can get a kill, but i will be far ahead of the other teams jungle no matter what by the midgame. i figure if i can get 2 or 3 assists/kills by ~20 minutes and i have my gp5 mercs and sheen the chances of my team winning the game are good. i had one game where i had 180 cs and the enemy jungle had 80. i think he had 2 more kills then i did at that point. but my gp5 + 100 cs advantage just let me dominate the midgame, which is the goal of everything ive described here. i really like playing hec, i think its a blast. but that early period of the game is dicey. if my team can hold their own in lane and maybe help when i gank it makes farming so much easier. i guess it comes down to effectively using your time. i have had games tho where my lanes fed early, but i got my farm and could carry them out of it. hec is really good at cleaning up the mess of small battles, ive found. with ghost and e and sheen you can easily get a double or triple kill if low health enemies are clustered together. getting to know the power curves of the different champs is one aspect of LoL i really enjoy, and hec's power curve is fun to me. again a lot like sejuani. you start off just miserably weak almost, but if you play into that and just acknowledge that you suck and your time would be used more effectively if u just farmed so that you can get to the mid and late game where you wreck things, i think hec is very effective. i havent actually played hec in a few days because my team tends to whine that im not ganking like a noc or something. i should just explain in champ select im going to farm and dont rely on me to win you your lane and i might be more successful with hec as a long term pick, at least at my level. this is all my opinion from ~20 or so ranked games all in the jungle. and i do realize that techinically hec's early ganks arent awful, they just arent reliable, which makes them unappealing to me. | ||

While I'd concur that he's not a farming jungler, I have a much higher opinion of his ganks than gtrsrs. But then I can consistently land his E and ult to force people in the directions I want them to go. I imagine if you have problems with that he'd seem pretty worthless. You also should never build Wriggle's on him. | ||

I've been a big fan for a while  There's apparently a new referral system going on and if you've already had referrals you can now get 250 per referral that has hit level 5. Don't get me wrong, if you're going to build a team around a champ everybody becomes viable. Look at Katarina she's amazing if you've got a ton of aoe stuns, but if you try to play Kat with like soraka, ez, shyvanna, and yorik, its not going to be as good as if you had some aoe disables mixed in there. edit: switch soraka for sona, yorik for nunu and all of a sudden you get a scary team. | ||
