Like Nasus he was kind of "underplayed" because while he's a monster late game his laning is really bad. I haven't played against much Veigar since his buff so I'm not super up to date on the match ups but I'm pretty sure you just play the lane how you did before his buffs. You go aggressive on him from level 1 when he's crazy weak and just be careful not to get stunned once he has his crazy burst. Cassiopeia, Kassadin, LeBlanc, Xerath, and any AP that lets you play really aggressive are capable of beating him in lane phase. The ones I named specifically can usually zone him from creeps. Although I will say, if you play aggressive against Veigar you do have to be careful. One fuck up can lead to you dying if a gank comes and he lands stun. trade with veig at early levels to prevent him from farming. For ex: As annie, I keep the stun and last hit with my auto. As Xerath, I last hit and harass with my Q. Always make sure you ward the bushes when you are playing aggressively. In solo que, most junglers don't ward mid, or they buy the wards and don't use them...

You play normally he laughs in your face and kills you because his burst is retarded and he out ranges every single AP champ in the game. Aside from just straight up picking Panth/Talon is there anyway to beat him? OIr are you just supposed to bend over and take it? Even if you just flat out stack MRes he just poops on you because he can stun you, get off his full combo and run away before you can do shit. If he was played with any regularity he'd be imo the most OP champ in the game. I feel liek there is just nothing you can do. You are doing something terribly terribly wrong. Veigar's laning is one step up from flat out atrocious. You should be very aggressive and abuse his cooldowns. He will be using Q to last hit, so if you go in on him after he pops it he has about half of his normal burst. His stun has a VERY long CD, so if you know its down you can do whatever teh fuck you want, becuse he will never land a W on you AND you can wait for him to use Q. With Mercs he will have to have to put at least 2 and probably 3 point into his stun to land W consistantly, which means his W damage will be poor. i'm guessing you ate a full combo and then were like: "fuck I have to be careful", and got zoned, and then by the time you had the courage to go try to CS again he was ready and blasted you again. The correct response is to just get up in his face as soon as you know he has something on CD. The stun is the skill to watch, without it he has half damage output (cant land W), and he cannot combo you without facing retaliation (he has to walk into 650 range to QR), you will come out ontop in every trade without stun and W.

If you can push him to turret it's also a good thing, can't farm everything with Q and trouble csing at turret without Q. Why would hotshot run around with 2 blasting wands on swain, more ap but not enough gold for bigger items? The clg banter stays on of the most hilarious things connected to this game, even better than the tsm banter.

Eh, I wouldnt push veig too hard, he is actually one of the better tower CSers and he is totally safe under there. If someone does that to me as Veig I just W clear ranged and Q melee. Unless you are like Xerath or someone who can actually kill him under tower I wouldnt advise it. Q CD gets down to like 2-3 seconds, so he can Q almost every minion after one tower shot

If you can it's a good thing, if you can't then w/e. Hotshot so butthurt after splitting up and losing the game.

His kit is definately geared towards ganking but I still can't see him doing well top lane. If they ignite your passive he pretty much has no sustain, he doesnt really have damage output to do well top lane either? Any champ with a stun or easy disengage or range can trade with all day.

I just don't get it. Hotshot should be the one who's most interested in improving this team. If he just wants to manage them he should step down and find someone to replace him. His attitude would make me sooo angry if i played on his team.

However that gets ruined by lackluster play by HSGG and amateurmistakes bij Doublelift
