And if you can't communicate with your team with English you can at least use pings. I mean obviously them not being able to speak English is probably why they refuse to use English. For that it probably just sucks to play on the Euro server. You should also expect players skills to fluctuate a lot below level 30. No, they don't even listen to pings. And I'm playing from the United States, Boston to be more specific. Boston? Where abouts? I'm on the south shore
Newton-it's the city with the largest Jewish population, percentage wise.
However, literally half of everyone in my grade plays LoL, as there are a lot of Koreans and Chinese at my school.
Also, Yorick is a very fun and exciting champion, but I can see how playing against him must seem a drag.

regarding runes
do ppl just buy all the runes or there are recommended strats for it?

Learn a few champions, get to level thirty, blow all your IP on a few specific rune pages.
Me, I just use the Rune Combiner because it's cheaper and more fun(if a tad wasteful).

He's a sleeper. Most people didn't realize (or straight up underestimated) the strength of his ganks and the punch his ult packs if you build some AS. There was a big focus on Frenzy, as it's a huge skill (for a given missing HP%, it basically inflicts more damage than Garen's ultimate until you try to hit a target that has around 4K HP, on a much shorter cd, and following a 60% AS boost) that got nerfed quite soon. I think as a Top laner - he loses to almost everyone, I can't really think of a favourable match up. As a jungler, his clear speed is fairly slow, again doesn't have many good match ups, and is fairly mana reliant if I recall last time I tried to jungle as him.
He doesn't really lose to anyone that bad outside the normal vlad/swain/kennen against most melee he's able to trade pretty effectively thanks to his E+W
As a jungler he can be a little slower but his ganks make up for it hardcore.

do ppl just buy all the runes or there are recommended strats for it? There are some really general runes that are must haves. For example, you are going to see flat armor seals or hp/lvl seals on the vast majority of rune pages, and glyphs are similar in this too (flat mr, mr/lvl, ap/lvl). Marks get a little more diverse but it's with quints where most of the specialization goes into because there are so many options in there, and also because quints don't suffer from primary/secondary efficiency which the other three rune types do.
I would do something like this for your first two rune pages when you first start buying your tier 3 runes.
Page 1: arpen marks, armor seals, flat mr glyphs, ad quints Page 2: mpen marks, armor seals, flat mr glyphs, ap quints
These are all super general runes that will cover most of your needs across a large number of champs. As time goes you'll make more pages for more specialized roles and champs but these 6 runes will be used across pretty much every single page in at least one way.

And yeah for your first rune page get a page that is useful for everyone than expand from there depending on who you like to play. Most players do not buy all the runes simply because it costs too much IP.

I use these two pages (actually do AD Reds, but w/e) for about 80% of my champions. If you jungle a lot, AS Reds are almost required on a lot of champions.

Unless you want every rune in the game, the rune combiner is a rather large net loss (and even then, the opportunity cost of time makes the gains fairly insignificant). I have the math if you want it.

Actually, that would be great, could you PM it to me? I don't want to waste any more IP if this is the case.

ok im really dumb or something but where is the rune combiner -_-

The blue button with the recycle icon in the bottom right next to the save runepage icon in the Runes section of your profile.

Why do people run scaling MP5 yellows on casters as opposed to flat? I main mid and I like never run out of mana or see anyone run out past earlygame, but level 1-11 you can ALWAYS use wayyyy more.

plus it hink the only other attractive yellow option is armor, which is hardly useful mid lane

MP5/lvl catches up by lvl 6, and as a solo ap mid champ, you get 6 pretty fast.

On almost every AP I run AP/lvl yellows cause I don't have mana issues with the vast majority of casters. I only run MR/lvl yellows on champions like Swain or Kassadin because I actually do run oom on them sometimes. And for top lane Swain I prefer armor yellows anyways.

Armor is actually useful in mid lane considering most earlygame harasss is done by autos since they do similar damage to spells early on (a lvl 2 spell = 2 autos damage-wise) and you don't have a 7 second CD on an auto. Also mitigates minion damage when you do harass with autos.

played a couple games with a friend as lulu and I just did horribly, no idea how to play her properly. The per level scaling on the shield seems horrible so I guess I should have leveled Q? In that case she barely seems better than support lux lol.
I don't know, I just don't immediately understand what to do with her and that's kinda weird and unfun.

She has the ability to harass with E and Q as well as play defensive like janna. You have a cc that you can use on the ad carry if they engage (I think W is really good against corki engages for example).
Shes quite good against a kill lane imo and she can also harass pretty well. There's a video commentary by xspecial on solomid

Q max Lulu is very strong zoning. It doesn't cost very much mana and does a ton of damage compared to other support spells, and because her E has 650 range you can hit just about anyone with it without getting harassed back, which lets you land a Q for free. You just have to be careful about using EQ too much because E is much more mana inefficient so it will burn through your pool pretty quickly.
The reason she's a lot better than Lux is because both her ult and W give a ton of utility both offensively and defensively and her E giving vision through brush is great as well. Q slow is also amazing for chasing and escaping ganks. Basically all of her spells are useful in every situation if you decide how to use them properly.
