The exact reason they nerfed all of the globals ults was because of all these abuse cases. Well, they overbuffed shen and apparently don't want to make him unviable again, so this is the only solution to bringing him in line with everything else. The shen ult in my opinion is much less aggressive than the Noc/Panth/TF ult. The reason is that you port to one of your teammates and not directly to the enemy. Yes you can use it with a bit of coordination for ganking, but the other ults let you literally jump on top of the enemy. I think that makes a big difference. You are of course right, that Shen forces you to be less aggressive but he doesn't really "gank" in those cases. I would also like to add, that from a technical point of view Shen's ult is the only one of the four mentioned so far that can be cancelled by killing his target. The shield will go off, but he does not port. I'm aware though that in most relevant cases, you won't be able to kill the target. But maybe if people get more used to play against Shen, they will start to take this into account at high levels of play. | ||
