I've been thinking a bit more about why arpen runes have higher numbers than mpen and there might be a few more reasons why equal amounts of mpen is just stronger. One is that mpen can help burst and veigar's thing is to one shot people. If he doesn't one shot a sivir the sivir might kill him before his next cooldown comes up. Imo where penetration is relevant: early mid game, aps are stronger than ads too. Anyways there's probably more reasons for why arpen and mpen runes shouldn't have the same numbers.
I think in our modern age technology has evolved to become more addictive. The things that don't give us pleasure aren't used as much. Work was never meant to be fun, but doing it makes us happier in the long run.

I think its still great. With 3k hp its still the equivalent of a BF sword + (improved) chain vest + (improved) cloak

but definately only usable with warmogs then or other champs that are capable of reaching 2.5-3k hp with a default build.

the way i see it its more of a balancing for the cost, it just gave too good stats to high hp champs for too little money (if you would want to achieve the same stats with basic items). i think its still good on MOST champs who get it nowadays, its just more in line with what other champs have to pay for the same stats.

I dunno. I still think its a useful item. The guys I get it on need armor, like damage, and haven't bought anything else to unlock the crit mechanic. Nothing else gives all those stats.

I dunno. I suppose it ia better since the change, but I still dont like hex as much as wits.

Hex before patch was a niche pick, now it could be more standard on certain champions.

For example I would build hex on GP (non AS dependent bruiser) if enemy ap became a bit fed. Now I can totally see hex becoming more of a standard item build, especially since it now builds into a really strong lategame item.

Wits has become 100% standard with most bruisers even if they dont' need the mr (such a shyv, udyr, and so on), but what the hex change has done is make it more a standard item choice rather than niche choice for certain champions.

Many "pro" players - most notably Alex_Ich - have whined for a while that they HAVE to rune for MR because the meta in mid is more like sit back, just harass, and farm all day, when they would much prefer to go right at it and duke it out. Not going MR against enemy harass would force them back too much/early, thus losing the farm.



Seen Scarra running a FULL MR rune page using Karthus against LeBlanc. 72 MR right off the bat. LeBlanc could only tickle even after level 6 and was complaining about it all game long.

Can someone explain why Mundo suddenly became relevant in jungle?

I love the guy, have his legendary skin, and played him a lot jungle, but now I see it in every tournament, but I was under the impression he was a very underpowered champ.

Top 3 clear time, insane poke (percentage based), insane slow. Also very tanky with decent damage, which fits the current meta of bruiser junglers.

Why he got viable all of a sudden? Spellvamp quints allow you to start boots 3 instead of cloth 5. Which makes him viable for competetive play (not restricted on a build (tabis)/wasting 300 gold since he doesnt build wriggles).

ha no. He got good because they dramatically reduced the health cost on his W so he can actually use it now.

Plus some other buffs, significant ones, but that's the biggie.

If you're ever confused about why a champ is suddenly good, go to lolwiki and search for them, then the abilities page. Most of the time you'll find that they were changed subtly or significantly in a recent patch. Like someone said above they actually lowered the health cost on W so he is actually able to AoE clear now.

I'm just lost on how to build him.. Today I was pretty fed so I went Wriggles RoA and started Scepter but they surrendered XD. Dat FEast

Most of the time your laners not being braindead is asking too much.

Wriggles isn't needed on cho, his passive gives him good sustain. You could probably go double gp10. Wits is really nice too for faster farming speed with vorpal spikes.
Dunk first. Ask questions while dunking.
