So how well does Promote push without interference? Can it get a tower or two by its own?

Is that 3 bruiser comp a normal thing to run? I don't think I've ever actually seen a high-level team use it aside from those occasional games with an Urgot. I imagine if they are against a team with a standard ad carry and a typical amount of cc there would be serious kiting problems.
Then again i guess with comps with good gap closers or olaf the problems would be diminished. Does anyone know of any tournament-level games where this sort of comp has been used to success? Excluding games with Urgot for the sake of argument. I'm just kind of curious about it I guess.

Ryze, Ahri, Cass, and Galio are all very bruisery if you build them a certain way (ie what you see M5 run mid, or whatever it is froggen does).

Going off on a completely different tangent, would any of the TL ''support players'' give me a hand? I've recently started playing support for a 5s team and I feel like I could use some tips on lane matchups, warding and generals of the sort. I play the bot lane in ranked now whether it be ad carry or support, and I feel like just in general, playing bot exclusively has helped me understand a greater deal about the lane, but I still make blatant lane mistakes when there is a matchup I dont understand.
Example just yesterday me and my duo partner decided to be aggressive as Janna corki vs sona ezrael at level 3 and it ended up with us getting our asses handed on a platter lol. Is this a positional mistake of being hit by ezrael q or is the lane just stronger at that certain level.
Feel free to talk to me ingame as well as in the thread. I feel like there is alot of things to be picked up from watching other people play but support streams are rare :3
Basically what Neo said, you picked an aggressive lane against a lane that begs for you to be aggressive. Since there are so many factors in bottom lane, it's really hard to tell you exactly what went wrong without directly seeing the replay, but if I had to guess I would say that you tried to get aggressive pre-philo at level 3 and you ate a ton of damage that made you back off and gave control of the lane over to Ez and once that happened you lost control of the creep wave since you couldn't trade effectively with them.
If you wanted to go for a kill in lane without a jungler involved, it would probably have to be done at level 5, once Sona and Janna are level 6, neither side should really be able to pick up a kill. The unfortunate truth it that your best plan in that lane would be to turn it into a farmfest and seek out an advantage either through superior farm or waiting for your opponents to make a mistake. Or call for a jungle gank through the lane is alwasy a good idea.
If you wanna talk more about support feel free to hit me up in game as well though I'm not on as much as I used to be.

I took promote one time. I used it on a cannon minion 1 hit from death. It didn't heal the minion. I never took the skill again.
It isn't enough to take even half a tower.

Traumatic LoL experiences from misunderstandings. It's no laughing matter.
Actually, what's the base attack speed of a promoted minion? If it's high, it might be more beneficial to use AS buffs on it rather than yourself. I'm kind of inspired by the recent tourney play to try it out.

I had more of the type of bruisers that people like to jungle in mind I guess. For example the game that Teutonica just posted had an Olaf bottom with a Taric instead of a typical AD carry, the rest of his team was Dyrus on Lee top, J4 jungle, and Kennen mid. I don't know if this was really as a result of a miscommunication or because of the fact that the other team had an Urgot bottom or simply because Kerp doesn't like playing AD carries. I really am kind of incompetent when it comes to this game so I thought I would stop lurking this forum and actually just ask a question about something about which I'm curious

Wiki says 1.5 attack speed, dunno if that's base or the normal 1.0 + 50%.

The lack of an ad carry just makes playing off the late game INCREDIBLY hard.

It think dyrus and kerp just both wanted top, it wasn't planned. Kerp WAS first pick, dyrus second, (after our 2 picks I think).
Yeah bruiser comps cant push towers well, but with enough barons and dragons you can just dive anyway, but we had quite a few dragons and towers before they started getting barons.
And obviously, olaf doesn't care about CC.

OK thanks for your answers guys I appreciate it

Promote buffs the speed up to 1.5, the "heal" on it is really underwhelming but at full hp it lasts quite a while to just a tower.

However I kind of feel like he wanted to troll dyrus for taking his toplane
Anyway why should Kerp be playing AD carry when he's first pick anyway >_> He's also a way better jungler than TOO.

Watched dat.
Doing Nashor #1 way to throw a game.

Eh the problem was cass was in a bad position, she was in a position where she was wide open to olaf, she shoulda been on the other side towards top lane.
|
Who's that Alistar in Kerp's team? I was just super impressed by how he held the lane but didn't steal any minions and hence kerp got the entire huge wave O_o I'm impressed by the most random plays yes

I was 1v1 my friend top and I was trolling a bit cause he wanted practice riven who he just bought... anyways i took promote tele, and i promoted the bot minion wave at around 18 min or so and it managed to push down 2 towers (off a already somewhat pushing wave)... it becomes tanky as hell, not necessarily being a huge damage dealer

leesin or wukong...WHO SHOULD I BUY FOR TOP LANE?? it's for my daycare arranged team, they both look fun as hell to play
