I think leblanc's problem is the fact that all her shit is single target
And she has no 'secondary' effects
Morgana has baller cc shield and mr reduction plus 2 aoe spells and reliable cc
Brand has tons and tons of terrible aoe damage and %damage
Ryze is impossible to kill and aoe
Vlad has damage amp and aoe, sustain
Annie has aoe cc
Akali has unparalleled sustain for a mage
Xerath infinite range, poke
Leblanc does comparable damage to the other mages lategame, but only in close range singletarget situations. Every other Mage can step back and lob aoe spells from a safe distance and as long as they hit SOMEONE then they're doing their job
Leblanc MUST get to suicide range and then can only ever kill or even damagae one person

I meant the length of the cd on his ult, because it's obvious that the duration is the same 2 seconds at all levels. When you compare it to things like 40 second riven ult and other low cd ults his is one of the highest (except for fiddle).

First of all barbsq is totally right with the RoA/Triforce ez #1.
In games where you get this as core I usually go on with Negatron/Chain Armor -> Atmas+FoN. The RoA/Triforce combination gives you about as much HP as a Warmogs and if the game STILL goes on you can moar HP/damage as needed. Abyssal/FH are more items for me when I'm getting raped early (would explode if I'd go Triforce) and/or you're the only tanky dude on the team.
Hell, if things go REALLY bad you can get like sheen, giants belt, chain armor, negatron cloak and still do your job pretty damn well.
(The days when Abyssal/FH was a must-buy on Morgana/Swain are long gone imoimo. Actually I'm not sure if people ever build Abyssal on either of those.)

(Unless you pick Malph vs Teemo and show up to top lane with 45 AP and 30 armor. Can't forget this game. 1700 elo real terror.)
Edit: On another note, I hereby call LB support with Exhaust/Ignite combined with an AD carry (Flash/Exhaust) one of the strongest possible botlanes out there atm.

I am a big fan of malphite. he is a great jungler because he clears fast and his q applies red now for great ganks.
He can also solo top quite well against attack speed based champs (irelia, udyr, tryndamere) because he can stack armor and e them all day long.
add in a bunch of utility no matter your role and I am surprised he isn't a competitive pick more often.

Well her distortion (W flash) isn't single target, and it can be repeated with her ult. It has a 250 AoE radius, for reference Tibbers is 150 on summon. But I guess no one uses that for damage since it puts you right on top of the enemies for a second.
