Ahri is not akali, she doesnt go in and tries to burst important targets; she peels and pokes untill your team commits and if the malz is waiting till his entire team is dead to use his ult on you then hes basically a useless teamfighter. | ||

Not like the silence is impossible to dodge either. Cleanse/QSS/Oranges. While he's still monster mode, people tend to stay away from champs that have a single hard counter like that. Same reason for things like Twitch: he can stomp people so hard, but buy an Oracle or have pink wards and he's suddenly less effective. Or Yi with CC/focus fire, or Kat and Nunu ults with knockups/backs/stuns. It's frustrating to have such a powerful ability just ignored. | ||

If he gets in position to ult someone important, he'll wreck them, but just the same, he's very easily killed/chased out of a fight by beefier anti-carries, because he's squishy, has no escapes, and no kiting power. | ||

Her Q is 0.64 if you hit both times and the second hit is technically a bit more than 0.32 since it's true damage. Once people hit 100+ mres true damage is roughly double that of magic. You should be able to hit at least 2 out of 3 of your W procs, which combines for 0.67 AP ratio, which is comparable as other champs have generally 0.7. Hit all 3 and it's 0.76. Ahri's E is pretty crappy ratio but that's mostly used for CC. Her ult hits 3 times so it's actually 0.9. Drings are good also because of the hp gain. It's just too efficient to pass up. Deathcap is also good as it's the best source of damage increase. Rylais is pretty core as Rylais+W is infinite kiting against melees and Ahri needs the hp. Void staff is a no brainer and I personally like Lichbane since you'll be in auto-attack range most of the time anyways and the lichbane proc is really good. Abyssal and Zhonyas are good defensive options for late game. All good points, but Drings still make little sense to me. AP mid vs AP mid is a lot of trading, and you're leaving yourself in a really risky situation without health potions. If you get beat out, you actually have to grab another Dring in order to stay competitive in the lane. Dring mid vs Dring mid, I understand, since you're both doing it. Though even when I see Dring mids dominate their lane, they still get more Drings! I've just never had mana issues, found health pots infinitely more useful in staying in lane than a flat increase in hp, and that opening boots certainly gives me more ability to harass with autoattacks (as well as an escape tool). Drings are good on a few champs, but I really don't like how vulnerable they make most. | ||

Getting a good ult off as malz with pool is actually pretty hard against good teams, it should be impossible to gib the ad carry as malz unless the ad is really really bad, also qss>"malz gib". If malz does catches someone out of position tho then they're fucked. I'd rather have a fed ahri over a fed malz unless you have a cc comp that includes mumu, gallio or anyone else with good stuns/roots. | ||

I've built tforce on him a number of times but while the damage output is insane it really hurts your teamfighting as you become very squishy. I tend to just want to get fat. | ||
