Been playing around with AP/attackSpeed builds that have working out very well. Only reason I tried it was because I noticed her attack animation is incredibly clean (so attack speed is very effective), and going heavy AP only effected her damage output marginally given all the gold your spending. It's nothing more than a theory build right now, but my lane presence in mid has been utterly demonic. A lot of other stuff I'd like to try as well. I feel like Abyssal Scepter would be invaluable for her, considering her constant presence in team fights. -- lol that ali combo is difficult for people? god only knows if they tried to play street fighter. | ||

As for the build I've been going (I have over 40 games with ahri in ranked so i know a bit of what im talking about) boots and 3 pots into 2 drings as the standard build. With 2 drings you dont need blue for laning unless you wanna completely rape the other guy or you wanna go roaming. 2nd boots are cdr boots for mid lane and sorc boots vs bruisers. Going sorc boots makes no sense when you're maxing q imo, because of the true damage. Then i usually get deathcap into morello's, throw in a giants belt somewhere in between if you have problems vs leblanc. throw in a revolver in between if you have problems vs people like ryze/vlad. Rylai's into wota which is xpecial's build sucks ass imo because you do no damage and you dont need to be so tanky since its incredibly hard to kill you if you play well because of your range and your ult. Rylais can be gotten as 3rd or 4th item, wota as last item for really late game. Her ap ratios are actually quite good if you consider how many times each of her spells hit. Usually for mid skill order is qeqw and r>q>e>w. Need to be flexible vs some champs, like for ryze ill completely forget about w until later. Anyway this is just how i play her in mid 1500's I might make an actual guide if i can get her to carry me to high 1600's (so far ive gotten from 1400 to ~1550 playing mostly ahri) | ||

Her ratios aren't amazing, but they're not terrible either. It seems deceptively low. Her ratios aren't as bad as they may seem. Her Q is 0.64 if you hit both times and the second hit is technically a bit more than 0.32 since it's true damage. Once people hit 100+ mres true damage is roughly double that of magic. You should be able to hit at least 2 out of 3 of your W procs, which combines for 0.67 AP ratio, which is comparable as other champs have generally 0.7. Hit all 3 and it's 0.76. Ahri's E is pretty crappy ratio but that's mostly used for CC. Her ult hits 3 times so it's actually 0.9. Drings are good also because of the hp gain. It's just too efficient to pass up. Deathcap is also good as it's the best source of damage increase. Rylais is pretty core as Rylais+W is infinite kiting against melees and Ahri needs the hp. Void staff is a no brainer and I personally like Lichbane since you'll be in auto-attack range most of the time anyways and the lichbane proc is really good. Abyssal and Zhonyas are good defensive options for late game. | ||

Abyssal and Zhonyas are good defensive options for late game. when i play ahri (1800~ elo) i always go 2~3 dorans, sorcs, and dcap. the dorans really help in laning cuz you wont go oom and the dcap is because it gives so much dmg and you dont need the cc from rylais if you just kill them. however, i typically follow up dcap with rylais to be more tanky and a wota for sustain and the ability to 1v1 anyone on their team. void staff for when they get mr, and zhonyas/ga for last tank item. i dont really like the rylais and wota before deathcap thing xpecial does because i just feel really weak during midgame, which is her strongest point | ||
