Damn it really isn't shit
Eh, if you consider it takes a minute at least to do each one, 42 is roughly about a 40 minute game's worth if it's your first win or so.
Not that bad, but I'd rather go play a game.

It is demoralizing to drop 150 ELO in a row because of people like that.
I pick things up fast so I need some advice on which champs are best for carrying. I usually turn to Monkey/Pirate top lane, Gragas or Swain mid (unless Morgana unbanned), Udyr or Skarner jungle. If forced to AD i play Kog and Vayne.
Is there anyone better? I am really, really frustrated. I don't think I am in ELO hell nor do I think it exists I just don't understand how I can carry myself out of these games.
Instead of trying to outplay your opponent, cheese them instead. Going 7/0 in the first 15 minutes is much better than being 20 cs up. What are some examples of LoL cheese?
I just had a game where I had a Soraka declare she was going AD and then just quit in the first 30 seconds...

What are you doing to translate your victorious lane into a victorious game? Ignore, for the moment, AFKers/feeders/leavers/trolls, what are you doing that makes the enemy team want to rage quit/troll/uninstall? It's great to win a lane/jungle, but it's up to you to take that momentum and translate it into meaningful gains for your team.

I think they are confusing snowballing with managing to stay ahead. Either that, or I just used to be significantly better at DotA than I am at LoL right now. I don't really play dota so could someone explain to me how LoL is just as snowbally as DotA? I agree in that when I watched the dota2 tournament I didn't nothing anything particularly different from LoL tournaments, all tournaments had games that were and were not close. But for casual play it seems pretty obvious to me that a faceless void getting a full build is far more snowbally than *any* single champion in league of legends. And if you're talking the teams overall it's far easier for a single hypercarry to snowball due to some good play by *one* player than for an entire team to avoid herping the derp in order to snowball together. It's just simple probability, if nothing else. The difference is that people are comparing high level play to noob play. In league of legends it's much harder to just 1v5 the enemy team. However, there are some pub stomp 1v5 carries in DotA that if you get fed you can just outright win the game no matter how bad your team is. Once you get to a reasonable skill level though this just completely disappears entirely from both games. I'm not saying you can't 1v5 in league, but it's definitely much much harder to get to that point unless you're a lot better than the other team. A fully decked out carry can 1v5 in DotA, but that's an extreme situation that is only after careful farm(play) all game to get to that point, along with everything in the team fight going the right way for your team. It's not so much of a snowball as good play. Than how would you describe the verb snowballing? If its not that you get an advantage and you build on it exponentially. The more advantage you have, the easier to get more. Thats snowball. Both games have it ofc, but you just described why dota has more. As i described above, weak towers give you even more snowbally behavior.
I just don't consider a hypercarry farming how he should and then 1v5ing to be snowballing. It's a viable strategy to use to win a game of DotA, but the other team can shut you down and win before you're too powerful. Now if you go into a public game and some baddies feed the hypercarry 10 kills early on that is definitely snowballing, but that just doesn't happen once you get to a certain level and it's not pro level play to not feed the hypercarry. The difference is that in DotA there are some heroes that are absurdly "overpowered" given enough farm (except it's the way they're designed). It's your job to shut them down before they get there to win the game. League doesn't really have characters like this. There are some outliers that scale better than other champions, but they still aren't so powerful that they can just 1v5 the enemy team.
If you have a small lead and increase that lead for the rest of the game you could call it snowballing I guess, but until there's a big gold differential it isn't an insurmountable advantage so I wouldn't really call it snowballing. I think of snowballing as when your team has a horrible engage or somebody gets caught, but you win anyway because you're already too far ahead for it to matter. In this case, the game has snowballed out of the control.

Most the time at low ELO, the enemy support will not have cv, or makes very poor use of it. Pick a champ with a strong level 1. Sit in the enemy's tribush and get whoever is in that lane to sit there with you. The enemy can either facecheck the bush, or walk straight to their lane and start farming. In either case this will be an easy first blood. Now you have one lane that's way ahead, and you are ahead as well. If you aren't level 2 yet, quickly pick it up off a couple creeps, go into the enemy jungle, and sit in their red bush. Get your lane to come as well. Most the time they won't check their red bush before doing red. After another easy kill, the enemy jungler will be behind. Underleveled with no boots or red, he can't gank so your lanes will be safe. You now have red with two kills under your belt. Win your lane and then win the game.

Perfectly fine to shout out a good player and mention his stream. It's not like he's a bad influence to anyone. There are games where you can't do anything to win, so just ignore those. If I know it's completely hopeless I'll use the opportunity to learn something (e.g. I'll try riskier stuff to see if it's worth it in a real game; push the limits, that kinda stuff).
Carrying means different things at different ranges. At that range (1200ish) just pick a really snowbally / early game champ and demolish your lane, then go gank and demolish other lanes too. You know how your team gets all ragey and bitchy when mid/top is feeding? The same thing happens to the other team. If you want to single handedly carry most of your games, wining your lane is not enough; you have to exert enough pressure on the other team that they HAVE to react to you or lose, which usually gives your other lanes free farm or free objectives elsewhere.
Also, everybody drops tons of elo at some point...it's just part of the roulette. The best you can do is work on being consistent yourself so that you'll rise to where you belong.

GP is a bitch to lane against, but won't really win you lanes quickly. His ult is pretty good for supporting your team elsewhere. Monkeyman can work, and has the benefit of dat ult in teamfights. I'm not really familiar with him though. Gragas is a great pick for mid - instaclears waves, great burst potential, huge mobility. Swain is like GP in that he's super annoying to lane (especially when he gets blue), but his burst isn't that good, and you can't really force kills in lane. I can't say anything about the jungle, I don't know how butchered it is yet. Vayne is really good at forcing early kills when paired with a cc support, and can handle a fed bruiser if needed.
There's only so much I can tell you without seeing you play though. Add me in game as Lanzoma if you want better feedback.

Does the new gangplank model really bother anyone else? I find the hat size and beard size reduction insulting. The removal of his sea-weathered chest is just a low blow.
I really don't like that he looks like he has a cape now when he runs either, and the pony tail is so cliche.
