What is an optimal runes page for shaco?
@snaphoo I used to play mostly ap but now I'm playing more bruisers and solo tops like nasus, GP and ww. I pretty comfortable with laning yes. The only role I don't play much is ranged AD cuz 1) my ping is really high ~ 450ms 2) mostly u can't rely on people to peel for you. Weirdly enough I usually don't have any problem farming with melee ad but I still struggle with ranged. like with nasus I've started getting 90%+ farm if I'm 1v1 solo top and really focused. Also I do need to start focusing on learning jungle. Maybe I'll get nidalee now then buy shaco and udyr next.

a pretty good shaco runepage is armor pen reds, attack damage quints/yellows, flat cd blues or mr scaling blues depending on how good you are at shaco, might want to start with the mr first

Edit: that's before the jungle ''remake.'' You can now take 2 AP Quints and 1 EXP Quint and have double buffs and level 3 at 2:18.

That shouldn't be top problematic tho with the new masteries and jungle right?

Question about tribunal, when do you get the rewards and how? Is it just added to your account at some point? Generally how long does it take to receive the rewards?

Volibear jungle route Wolves Blue Wraiths Wolves Red Golems No leashes, 26/0/0 (lv 26 smurf), Surge Smite, random runes I had lying around (i think it was mostly mana regen and hpregen with gold/10 quints) Clears with 0 pots left and 540 gold in 4:40ish. Has to b before ganking. Starts cloth + 5pots Skills WEWQ (hits level 4 off of final golems)

I don't really play dota so could someone explain to me how LoL is just as snowbally as DotA? I agree in that when I watched the dota2 tournament I didn't nothing anything particularly different from LoL tournaments, all tournaments had games that were and were not close.
But for casual play it seems pretty obvious to me that a faceless void getting a full build is far more snowbally than *any* single champion in league of legends. And if you're talking the teams overall it's far easier for a single hypercarry to snowball due to some good play by *one* player than for an entire team to avoid herping the derp in order to snowball together. It's just simple probability, if nothing else.

Actually you can get double buffs without the ap quints, just that you have to place your boxes at blue perfectly. They ap quints are helpful and reduces the margin of error but it isn't mandatory provided you have perfect box placement. You need exactly all the shots from 4 boxes to take down blue when you aren't there so it will fail if even one box shoots the small minions.

You'll get an email in about a week that will tell you how many cases you correctly voted on (agreed with the others judging it) and what your IP reward is. It's overall quite laughably low.

The difference is that people are comparing high level play to noob play. In league of legends it's much harder to just 1v5 the enemy team. However, there are some pub stomp 1v5 carries in DotA that if you get fed you can just outright win the game no matter how bad your team is. Once you get to a reasonable skill level though this just completely disappears entirely from both games. I'm not saying you can't 1v5 in league, but it's definitely much much harder to get to that point unless you're a lot better than the other team. A fully decked out carry can 1v5 in DotA, but that's an extreme situation that is only after careful farm(play) all game to get to that point, along with everything in the team fight going the right way for your team. It's not so much of a snowball as good play.

Usually in a week or so after you have review some cases(there may be a day but i havent notice witch one) you get an email telling you something like... The tribunal has agree with your decision in 5 of 6 cases (or something like that) you get 50IP for your service. Then you log in and you have the extra IP.

I was at 1306 ELO and have dropped 150. I do well all my games (not exaggerating) I don't think I have lost a lane, I feel like I have a good understanding of the game, my mechanics obviously need work but I still farm fairly well.
I do not understand how you carry people in this game. Like...how can I make failures not fail? I come from Starcraft 2 background where I was high Masters with both Zerg and Protoss (1K August) and I REALLY hate losing. I thrive on being better and I have fun winning. However I am finding it increasingly difficult to stay level headed when forced to play with trolls, leavers, and AFKers game after game. It is demoralizing to drop 150 ELO in a row because of people like that.
I pick things up fast so I need some advice on which champs are best for carrying. I usually turn to Monkey/Pirate top lane, Gragas or Swain mid (unless Morgana unbanned), Udyr or Skarner jungle. If forced to AD i play Kog and Vayne.
Is there anyone better? I am really, really frustrated. I don't think I am in ELO hell nor do I think it exists I just don't understand how I can carry myself out of these games.

Than how would you describe the verb snowballing? If its not that you get an advantage and you build on it exponentially. The more advantage you have, the easier to get more. Thats snowball. Both games have it ofc, but you just described why dota has more. As i described above, weak towers give you even more snowbally behavior.

Instead of trying to outplay your opponent, cheese them instead. Going 7/0 in the first 15 minutes is much better than being 20 cs up.

So..........what you guys think about Riot featuring Shushei?
|
Tell them what to do. It helps to just ping and vping when needed. Even if only one person listens to you and the rest get dead because of not falling back when they should it should be enough. Always try to que with someone you trust and can help you out. Two heads better then one and can completely change what would be a defeat into narrow victory. Look for mistakes in enemy team. The worst thing you can do when you are behind is panic. Most players make mistakes, teams tend to go together in a group if so, avoid and push another lane(towers down mean victories easier) if they end up splitting up ratpack up and beat the crap out of that farmed carry then run off and take an objective in a fight(be it a tower dargon baron whatever)
Ward. Warding can help so much and can often validate and influence a call you make. You know they are at x but if everyone can see them at X they'll more likely to go to X or avoid it pending on the situation.
And when all else fails. Play Master Yi and dunk towers and avoid team fights.
