-.- i mean if you aren't going to give any of the female champions pants...
Buy a skin. Acquire pants on said female champion. Supported Riot by buying skin. ??? Profit
uhhh... idk what that means in context, but in general, TL mods frown upon the whole "???? profit" thing and all memes in general
It means a lot of purchased skins for champs have more clothes than their base skin. Not all obviously............ How was that hard to understand?
oh because I'm not actually complaining about not having pants on female champions (never a problem) -.- i'm just saying that GP should be as manly and chest-hair like...
interpreting it as meaning getting more pants makes sense lol
loololollolololololololololol, that's fuckin embarassing lol, i can't believe they watch saint's stream too LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Yeah, It's hilarious enough that they watch his stream, but the comment about Saint makes it straight golden.
I dunno why. I'm sure nearly all of the pro players parents watch their streams. Their grandparents probably just depend on how tech savvy they are. To them it's a way to get involved a bit with what their grand kids are doing. I remember Hotshot giving shout outs to his grandparents are MLG and I think IEM China which would lead me to believe that they probably watched some of it.

It's true that when you think about it it's not too surprising that they watch stream. If they care about their grandson and know he's going to China, will be going to Korea (WCG, right?) and is quite successful at what he does, they could well learn that he streams and want to watch him do that. It gets a little funny when they watch others' streams...

Sorry! Wrong thread. Since I replied I would like to say that the new mastery tree is really fun. Those are my only changes I feel confident in replying about.
So the series of events is: Shushei's stream gets featured by RIOT and Hotshot RAGES (hard).
Next suddenly Hotshot has a change of heart because his grandparents tell him to rage less between then and now.
Am I missing something or does this seem very self serving? =\
Your talking about a policy that increases the amount of income people receive. Its self serving for ANY streamer to let riot do this. Its free publicity and money. You cant blame anyone for this, especially when it is their livelyhood.
Thats why the policy is stupid by RIOT. Its essentially the makers of the game people get paid to play paying those people.

I completely agree there. It just seems to me he's fishing for getting featured himself, even though he raged on it hard.

No shit he is. If I was any streamer I would be doing the same thing as HSGG atm. Hell, I wouldnt be surprised if every high elo streamer was putting out feelers to their riot contacts for a "why you no feature me?"

What exactly is stupid about it? Riot profits as well from these big streamers popularizing/keeping people interested in the game. That's like getting mad at Summoner's Showcase since the featured artists may get commissions as a result.
I honestly don't get how it's dumb... I mean, everyone involved benefits. If other streamers want to get featured then they need to step up their game, make themselves more marketable, which can only be good for themselves, as well as Riot. I honestly don't see the problem with it.
I guess it is one way to get the streaming community to straighten up. Considering they are of the hardest ragers in the game and tens of thousands of people will watch them and assume for that to be correct behavior. Makes sense to reward players for setting a better example.
The main problem is that it is highly subjective. Lets not get what riot is doing confused- they are literally choosing people to give money too. Now how do you decide WHO deserves the free money?
Like I personally like Saintvicious' stream, for pretty much all the reasons riot will NEVER spotlight it. You start getting into a whole big debate over who really should be the face of the game, and maybe the ones riot wants to be the heroes arent actually the ones who DESERVE to be spotlighted. I can EASILY make an argument that HSGG is the single most important streamer in LoL and singlehandedly built the current lol scene. Yet he probably will not get a spotlight. How is that equitable. Riot is paying shushei, but not HSGG. And I dont even LIKE to watch HS, but its obvious the effect he has had. The system arbitrary and stupid.
I just think its kind of grimy for them to pay players, but through an intermediary, in a completely arbitrary way.

Uh, I'm not a fan of the EU players (to say the least) but why exactly doesn't Shushei deserve to be featured first? His team won season 1 and the most recent international tournament as well. He's a perfectly mannered streamer and a great player. Hotshot likely wouldn't see an increase in viewers if he did get spotlighted, as everyone who has any interest in watching streams knows who he is. Plus, there's no real reason to believe that he won't get featured in the future.
Morello wrote: I wanted to wait until we had certainty on it. With the disclaimer that we can pull changes based on testing, I'll describe it;
We're working with a "banking" system that has the big mobs in jungle camps build XP and gold rewards over time after being there for a bit (currently, one minute). This caps out after a certain amount of time as well, and while farming heavily is greater than waiting for the bank to build, the bank lessens the need to constantly farm to keep up.
Why this system?
* It rewards ganks and is a bit less punishing on gank attempts that don't result in kills for the jungler. After a gank attempt, the jungler can clear the jungle which has scaled a little bit while they were ganking.
* Smart counter-junglers can watch enemy gank patterns, then kill the big monster to steal the bank that's built and reset it. This adds additional value to counter-jungling in the new jungle on the efficiency side. This will encourage more jungler conflict as well as add tons of opportunities for great counter-junglers to pull ahead.
* It allows junglers to farm and catch up a little better if they fall behind early (Of course, enemies can continue to disrupt this and push the advantage as needed), but the option is there, which creates new strategic options for coming back.
There's a few other changes too, but this is the mechanics-level one we're testing right now. While I encourage feedback, I'm excited to see people try this out (if it continues testing well).
Interesting, and yet it doesn't really feel like a bandaid. I dig the change, but honestly prefered the way the jungle was before this though that's just crying over spilt milk at this point. Thoughts from other junglers?
