Garen's animation has him do the damage at the very end. Trundle has his animation do the damage at the very beginning. In either case, you get auto->Q->auto within a similar span of less than 2 seconds. | ||

What Riot refers to as an "autoattack timer reset" is that when you perform an autoattack and press Q, your character cancels out of wherever he is in the current autoattack animation immediately into the Q animation. It has NOTHING to do with how your character behaves in relation to the subsequent autoattack. Any quirks with the subsequent autoattack are skill-specific, though they might behave similarly to an "autoattack timer reset" skill. You're basically confusing everybody by trying to apply a similar concept that the terminology that Riot uses isn't actually referring to. This isn't particularly hard to understand though. I come from a background of fighting game and rpgs where frame cancelling is a very real concept. It's fairly prominent in LoL although generally speaking most players do it unaware by just spamming buttons really fast since there's very little incentive not to. | ||
