Rylai's is very expensive, I believe you would be better off getting an item with more mana, RoA has a large health component, but usually the catalyst turns into Banshee's veil. I prefer to go with a Lichbanes/Archangels for the last two items, but you can go Triforce/Manamune. So you have boots2, frozen heart, banshee's veil, then choice of RoA/Triforce/Manamune, or Deathcap/lichbanes/Archangel's. I don't know if getting sheen is really worth it because the nessesity of void staffs to deal with FoN but with such short cd's you should have no problem getting a proc every time its availible. | ||

Ryze has some of the worst defensive mechanisms on any AP carry (very low speed, no blink-type abilities, no shields or damage reduction, and no AOE cc) that he absolutely needs a glacial + negatron by the time team fights happen, or he's just way too squishy. | ||

If anyone else has pros that they see playing Ryze please list them off, the only person I've found playing him right now that I know is Salce. His last build of Ryze was: ToG, Banshee Veil, Mercs, Frozen Heart, Void Staff, Amplifying Tome. On November 12 2011 00:34 Sandster wrote: I laned Cassio against a Ryze that rushed Archangel and RoA.
