Wouldn't it be cool for tournaments to have player bans? Like you would be able to ban one player per match along with the champ bans and that player can't be banned for the rest of the series of a BoX.It would raise the importance of the reserve player and force the other players to improve more in their off-roles.This would be kinda problematic in a Bo1 scenario I assume because every team right now seems to have a MVP that you would want to ban every game if possible and its not like teams have a ton of money to spend on extra players to send around the country. Just think that it would bring a cool dynamic into the tournaments,don't know,right now in my head it seems as a really good idea,maybe its really stupid tho. | ||

It wouldn't really work because player roles are too specialized. At the highest level, each individual player specializes in one specific role and aims to play that role better than anyone else. If you can ban players, then that'd really screw with how teams work. It'd be like if you could ban specific units in SC2. Interesting in theory, but in practice it'd just limit play. | ||

I don't think that's the main problem that would break this system,because LoL is not really the most mechanically demanding game that pros wouldn't be able to learn at least 2 roles really well.The thing that sets apart pro teams and some randoms is by far the team work and game plan imo. But yea,the more I think about it I can see that its not the best idea so meh.Forget about it. | ||

Reason i'm asking is because I have the minimap in the bottom left and at the start of the game the chat window is floating in no mans land on the right side of the screen. Also, I have 6300 IP and xerath looks kinda cool, would I end up happy or sad purchasing him? Edit: Skarner/Shyvanna look kinda fun too but i've seen poor results come out of them every game | ||
